Break my heart why don't you?
This evening the kids were upstairs playing and my mom came over for dinner. When Kennedy heard the door open she came to the stairs as fast as she could and got all excited and yelled, "DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!!" Needless to say she was sad when she realized he wasn't here. :(

Poor girl! It's gotta be so hard for them! And you. I'm proud of you girl, you are a great mom, and doing a great job!
Oh no. I would have been a wreck! If it's any consolation, she will probably forget that incident, it's you that won't, right?
Awww that would break my heart too...more so to know that she is missing her daddy so much...bet you can't wait till May!

As a previous poster said, she will quickly forget it, but you will most likely never ever forget.
that is heart breaking, especially for us moms! Kayla did that a few times in the evening when it was UPS delivering something and she thought Joe was coming home. I lost count of how many times we would see someone in uniform on base and she would say "daddy!" Then there was the Thanksgiving luncheon incident where they had pictures of the guys who were deployed up, and someone came by to ask Kayla if she saw the pic of her daddy and Kayla started scanning the room thinking he was in there somewhere, she was a bit melancholy afterwards. Hugs to the both of you! I hope it helps when the daddy doll arrives! I still need to end you the link to the sesame street video!
Aww :( That is so sad. :( I can't wait til he gets to come!!
