Deployment 2008; Day 30

One month down... 14 to go! Frank is doing well in Afghanistan. He has been receiving some cards from friends and complete strangers, and he says to tell you all thank you!! We thought you might want to see some pictures, so here's a slideshow. If you want to pray for something specific, pray that the clouds roll in so the moon isn't so bright. It's lighting up the area he's in and there's been a couple attacks. No one was hurt, but it is still scary! On the homefront we are all doing fine. Kennedy asks for Daddy quite often lately. I know she misses him. We all do! We got to see him on a webcam last night, so that was fun. Kennedy kept blowing him kisses but she couldn't understand why she couldn't hear him. We need to work on that! Anyway, here are the pics, if you want to pause on one, just click on it.

I am looking at your blog and I'm just in awe of you. I can't imagine having a sick child or a husband deployed or having a husband gone and trying to take care of 4 kids - and yet you are doing it all. I pray that God gives you the strength and grace and comfort to make it through every day and that He blesses your family abundantly.
You inspire me!

LOL no not Italy, though I am sure Frank wishes he were there! Solerno is the name of the base he's at in Afghanistan.

It must feel good to have that first month down! That's great you're able to use the webcam (Joe couldn't use it at the base he was at - they were really strict w/their bandwith and didn't allow streaming media type files). Keeping you all in my prayers!
