A new blog, A new kid, A new prayer

So during my random blog surfing a few days ago I ran across the blog of a family with an 11 year old boy named Keeghan. Of course I had to stop and read, he has one of the 4 coolest names EVER! They even spelled it right! HA!

Anyway, Keeghan has cancer. He has a brain tumor called Anaplastic Astrocytoma. Recently his family found out his tumor has returned and now they are having to make decisions on the next step in Keeghan's treatment. I know this has to be so hard for his parents, Mike and Shannon.

So here is my plea to all you prayer warriors: Go check out Keeghan's blog Mad World!. Pray for him and his family. Sign the guestbook and let them know you're praying! Read The Beginning. It talks all about how Keeghan was diagnosed. You'll find yourself laughing through tears as you get to know this wonderful family.

Thank you for praying! To us families in the cancer world, it means more than anything.

I was wondering how how Kennedy was doing. I noticed you have a care pages page, but from what I understand, you have to sign up. That means one more password. Argh!

I'll had Keeghan to my prayer list. Goodness this list is getting long!

Thank you so much for this post Renee - as you know, we parents of sick kids take prayers wherever we can find them! I have to admit I shed a few tears when I clicked on your home link from the guestbook on our website and found my beautiful boy's smiling face on your site!

I had forgotten that I had a name and password here on BlogSpot since I never used it! Now I have someone to stay in touch with here!

Best of luck to you and your family. It's hard enough being a mom. Add dealing with illness and deployments to that and you're really got your work cut out for you. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to holler!
