Set your DVRs!

Tonight at 9:00pm (8:00pm central) on Lifetime the movie "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" is premiering! If you haven't read the book, go buy it!!! It's awesome! I hope the movie lives up to my expectations. Here is a brief synopsis:

The birth of a child should be the happiest moment in a couple's life. But when a doctor's wife has twins, one of whom has Down syndrome, this physician makes the difficult decision to send one of his babies away. An attending nurse discovers his plan and intervenes, putting into motion events that will haunt the doc, his wife and his son for the next 20 years. This all-star movie features Dermot Mulroney ("The Wedding Date"), Gretchen Mol ("3:10 to Yuma") and two-time Oscar nominee Emily Watson ("Angela's Ashes").

If you watch it, come back and let me know what you think!

Renee: I have always wanted to read that book and just haven't done it. I guess now's the time. I will see if my "liberry" has it today. I will watch the movie too. Blessing to you today! I hope the above comment wasn't one that hurt!

Thanks so much for the reminder...I saw the preview for it about a month ago but forgot that it was debuting tonight!

This book is on my list of things to read as well! I hope it's well done...movies are never as good as the book, but I'm hoping it will be good since I haven't read the book, lol.

I've never even heard of it...but then again if it is not advertised on the Disney Channel or PBS, then I wouldn't.

Sounds like a real good one. You're have to give us an update. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm so aggravated I didn't read the book now. The last fictional book with DS included in it, that I have read was Jewel, hated the book and the movie. But I loved this movie, not sure I can read the book after seeing the movie, but going to try!

I haven't read the book (or even heard of it until I read your post). I did watch the movie today and it was so good. I'm debating whether or not to read the book now that I have seen the movie. I loved the movie. Thanks for posting that it was on. I'm glad I got to watch it.

I watched the movie. I liked it. I have the book but haven't gotten very far with it yet! I would love to hear what people think that have read the book then saw the movie.

So did you like the movie?

I LOVED the movie! I wasn't thrilled with Pheobe's hair in her teen years. The movie followed pretty well to the book which was good! I can't wait for Frank to see it! It's replaying on lifetime all week if you want to see it!

I've visited your blog before, but never left a comment. In fact, I think it was your blog that I saw the Cancer Mom Shoes poem on (I had to send that to my sil whose daughter just successfully completed her treatment for ALL and had her port removed last Tuesday.

I read this book and really enjoyed it. Then, I saw the ad for the Lifetime movie on someone's blog and thought, I should write that down, but didn't. I thought it was on Apr. 21. Bummer. Hopefully, Lifetime will air it again sometime. I'd love to see it.

I enjoy reading your blog. Best wishes to you as you continue caring for your special kids.
