So Kennedy loves grapes, but she insists they are apples! They brought her a bowl of them with her dinner and she was excited! Our conversation went a little like this:
Kennedy: I wanna apple!
Me: You want a grape?
K: Apple!
M: (showing her the grape) This?
K: Yeah! Apple!
M: This is a grape.
K: Apple.
M: Grape.
K: Apple.
M: Hey Kennedy?...
K: Its APPLE!
M: Fine, it's an apple. (I hand it to her)
K: Ohhhh a grape!
Yes folks, despite the fever, she's starting to feel better!

She is so funny! I just look at her pics and it makes my head hurt. I hope that they are keeping up on her meds so she doenst have to be. Poor Girl. How long will she have to wear the halo?
Yeah, Kennedy! Yes, grapes are apples! The great thing is you're eating!! That's the best news to go along with the cute conversation you and mom had. Let's see what other foods you all can discuss tomorrow. Rest well, and Mom, you keep those nurses and doctors straight!

I have visited your blog before and I think your daughter is beautiful and one tough cookie (just like my Pres).
I think I am going to leave a sign above Presley's bed like the "NO TEGADERM, NO TAPE" sign in Kennedy's room - I had to smile when I viewed that post. As far as I know Pres doesn't have any allergic adversions to it but geez they like to plaster that stuff all over her. I just had an argument with a nurse the other day as Presley screamed while I pulled off a huge slab of tegaderm from one side of her face that was put there JUST to keep a nasal canula in place!! I was livid. Seems like pretty simple logic to me, what goes on must come off...so be considerate!!!
Good luck and I will pray for Kennedy's quick recovery! She truly is such a little lovely.

Oh Renee, I have tears in my eyes. Poor little monkey has been through so much (and all of you as well). I have been away since Thursday night and just got near a computer here to check in.

Okay, Kennedy may have something to that apple taste. We were just at a birthday party last weekend that had a fruit tray. Seriously, the grapes tasted just like apples. Everyone at the party was talking about it....and no, there were no apples on the tray. It was weird! As always, you are all in our hearts and on our minds....praying every day!
