Bladder Control

NEVER in my blogging life, did I think I would ever have a post called "Bladder control", but seriously, it's the most fitting title I could think of!

Sincess Kennedy is too smart for her own good, I think. Today she has figured out that if she pees just a little she gets candy. I mean, she knew before she would get candy, but she would FILL that potty chair... Today she went potty and proudly exclaimed, "MOM!" (Which is a whole other post) "MOM! I DID IT! SEE?!" And as soon as I get back from rinsing out her chair she asks for her candy... then, about 30 seconds later she sits down and pees just a little more... "MOM! I DID IT!!! SEE?! Candy????" Hmmmm

I've given her 3 M&Ms in the last 5 minutes. Something tells me I'm being played.

That's kids for you. It is sort of telling a child that they get something for tidying their room and they figure out that if they make it untidy more often, they get to tidy it and get that reward.. :-).

It's funny though!

Haha! I love it! According to my mom, I used to do the same thing. My mom started me on Hershey kisses, and once I figured out that "little bit" trick, she down-graded to M&Ms. After a while we had to change from every time I went to getting a treat after an accident-free day, and eventually week! I have a friend that used fruit snacks for her kids - at least then you don't have to feel quite as guilty about giving her something every few minutes (especially if you get the 100% juice ones!) and maybe save the M&Ms for the "big" tinkles or "all day" treats?

LOL! Smart girl...if only WE could get incentives for going to the bathroom...pee in the potty and automatically get a new purse? I like it.

Oh my she's a smart one. Guess you're going to have to catch onto her. Maybe instead of giving her a candy every time she uses the potty you should change it around. Like maybe she gets a sticker every time she goes and if she has so many at the end of the day THEN she can have her candy. You could even make it if she wets two stickers come off the board sort of thing or something like that. Good luck out witting her.

Cute title!
Thankfully Max nor Sam figured that out but my nieces did. One day when I was watching them, one of them asked, "what if I just TRY, can I have a piece of candy?" Let's just say she got her fair share of starburst that day!

Yay for Kennedy! what a smart, and fast girl!
