There are a lot of great things about our church! I love the music... and the fact that I can go in jeans and flip flops if I want to. I love that the pastors preach like they're having a conversation with us instead of telling us how horrible we all are. I love the kids program and the fact that Kass and Kam are excited to tell me what they learned each week. I love that our Pastor has a blog and gives us a peek into his life.
But here's what makes me keep going back... first, the staff at the church has kept up with our family. We're just one family in over 1,000 that attend there. They have let us know they're praying for us and offered their help any way that we need. And then today, Kennedy was sitting in service with us and when the music was over, while one Pastor started his sermon, the other Pastor came over and asked if he could take Kennedy out into the hallway to play. She wasn't being loud, she wasn't unhappy to be in the service, but Pastor Ron just thought I could use a break. He could have done any number of things during that time, but he chose to play with my child... and to serve one of his church's members. Amazing. It's those little things that can be so huge. Thanks Ron! I hope Kennedy didn't wear you out too much! :)
