Emma is my friend Meredith's daughter. She was adopted from the Ukraine not long ago with her brother, Micah. Emma has Down syndrome and a severe heart defect. Her family didn't know quite HOW severe until they got her home and she had a complete work up by the cardiologist in Florida where she lives.
On Monday morning at 7am, Emma will have her heart repaired. She needs huge prayers that she comes off the bypass machine and the vent, well. There was a lot of debate on whether Emma's heart could handle this surgery or not, but her mom and dad fought hard and found a surgeon they feel confident in. We know God is watching over Emma and her surgeons. Please keep them in your prayers!!!
You can follow Emma's story here.

Hi - back from a week in Vermont - will be praying for Miss Emma, I fell in love with the Cornish kids after linking from your blog! Have read about them for a while. Will be praying -

Yes, yes! I have her picture on my blog. Her story captured my heart, literally! I am praying and will continue to do so!
Of COURSE I will keep Emma in my prayers!
I feel like I've been holding my breath waiting for Emma's surgery the way I held my breath waiting for Kennedy's. I guess it's time for more post-it-notes!
(By the way, where did you get the cute clothes for Kennedy to wear with her halo?)
