apple geniuses
So I have an appointment tomorrow at the mac store at 12:45. Please pray they can get my pics back. Carey, I know I should have listened to you. I was in the process of backing up everything but I was still pretty far behind obviously. Sigh.

Ugh, I hate computer issues! I was having problems with mine last April. It was my first lap top and was completely used and abused! I had 5 years worth of pictures on it I did NOT back up! Thankfully, some computer geniuses here were able get them all on an external hard drive.
Then, I got a new computer, a MAC (which I'm still learning to use) and of course the external hardrive isn't compatible! Ugh.
You think I'd have learned my lesson.... Now I have 6 months of pics. on this computer, and yup, you guessed it, none of them are backed up....
Your experience is motivating me to get into my MAC store and have them help me with that!!!

OMG! Haven't backed up for a while! Guess I better add that to my "immediate" list of things to do!

I lost a years worth of pics not too long ago when my hard drive crashed and yet, I still haven't backed anything up on my new one. Maybe I should do that. I hope they can recover all your pictures!
I had a digital camera that had some of Charlie's grandmothers birhtday pic on it when she turned 100. We also had some pics of his mother's last birthday and my camera had an electical short and I lost all of them. I was devastated. I will pray for you to recover your pics. I so understand!! I have been real good about burning all of my pics to a CD before I post any of them. Hopefully that will save me in the long run if anything ever does happen.

I'll bet they can do it. Unless something is actually deleted I think you can often recover files if you dig down deep enough - which is why we leave that to the professionals, right?
