How long were your labors?
Kassidy - 11 hours, induced about 3 weeks early due to toxemia. Had a WONDERFUL edpidural... by far my easiest labor! She had such a perfect round head! :)
Kameron - 6.5 hours, water broke around 3am at home. I proceeded to clean my bathroom, living room and kitchen before waking Frank up to drive the hour to the hospital. I never claimed to be the sharpest crayon in the box! Kam was born at 10:27 AM. Stupid Anesthesiologist stuck me ELEVEN times in the back before finally getting the epidural in... only to have my right knee go numb and nothing else. I felt EVERYTHING. It sucked. My knee was numb for 24 hours. I'm not bitter. Much. Kameron had a... um...
Kennedy - Not really sure... I think about 5 hours. I was out of it for most of the time... FYI, in case you missed my last post, Stadol SUCKS!
Keeghan - I was induced due to Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy I was 37 weeks pregnant and my labor lasted about 13 hours. Seriously?! Hmmm I think the beginning of that was really nothing though. My nurse spilled a cup of ice water on me so to make up for it she started the pitocin nice and slow... because that's worse than Stadol! ha!
How did you know you were in labor?
Kass, Kenn and Keeghan I was induced... with Kennedy I did have some contractions beforehand. Kameron, my water broke... either that or I peed my bed... but since he was born not long after, I'm pretty sure it was my water! ;)
Where did you deliver?
Kass and Kam were born at Pomona Valley Hospital... in the same room. I was admitted with BOTH kids on November 3rd, but Kassidy was born on the 4th. They are two years apart in age.
Kennedy was born at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell.
Keeghan was born at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.
Yes, of some sort, for all 4. Can't remember what they gave me with Keeghan... it started with an N... it didn't work.
Kass - his name was Dr. Deanda. I loved that doctor! I think he's still practicing in Southern CA somewhere.
Kam - I'm trying to remember. We moved from Northern CA to Southern CA like 3 weeks before he was born... I wanna say his name was Dr. Wang... or Wong? How sad is it that I don't remember?!
Kennedy - Dr. Dobay. Loved that guy too. He's no longer at BACH.
Keeghan - No clue. I had all my prenatal care at BACH until I got gestational diabetes, then the cholestasis, THEN Kennedy was diagnosed with Leukemia, so they transferred my medical care to Vandy. I don't think the doctor who delivered him was one I had even met before that day. Hmmm
So... is it true you can't wear white after Labor Day?!
