The Angel Tree

I have talked about Reece's Rainbow a few times before here on my blog. Today, I ran across this post on my friend Leah's blog. Seriously, go read it. Go look at the pictures and see what the future looks like for these kids.

I have never seen these pictures. It makes me want to throw up. How anyone could show such blatant disrespect for human life just appalls me. *sigh*

There is still time to help these angels. Just a $35 donation will get you an ornament with the child's picture that you donated to. You must donate by December 15th. Help a family bring one of these precious kids home. Pray that the find their forever families. So many parents have found their children through Reece's Rainbow since November 1st when they started the Angel Tree Project... is your child waiting for you?

Wow, I have visited Reece's Rainbow several times. There is a little girl I have had my eye on (hubby not so much). Now, seeing these pics, makes my heart break. I don't see how anyone can treat anyone like this. These children deserve so much more.

It's so sad :(

At church we support a charity called Operation Christmas Child and we pack up shoe boxs with bits and pieces like soap, toothbrushes and hygene stuff like that and then there will be a couple of toys or play jewellery.

This year I think we packed over 100 boxes. That one shoe box is the only present that child will receive at Christmas.

That is just so sad. And maybe it's just after the awful news I got today and just feeling empty right now because of it that I wish I could adopt one of those poor baby's and bring them home. I don't mean donating to help someone else adopt, but I wish I could be the one to provide the home.

Our church does the shoebox thing as well, from London. I have asked that they start giving to Reece's Rainbow instead. It was too late for this year but hopefully they will give it consideration for next year.

This is why I do the artwork and things for Reece's Rainbow. We still donate but I want to help raise awareness. These precious little ones NEED all the help we can give them. And once the time is right we plan to bring one of them home if we can.

Thanks for posting this, Renee. It's why when I decided to do my design website I am giving a portion of EVERY order I receive to Reece's Rainbow. I don't think it would be worth the time I've put into it if it didn't help these kids. It brings tears to my eyes every time I talk about them.

How can people see this and not be changed?

Ther are a few cutie pies on the Angel Tree I would love to bring home. One of my faves has a family and I'm so glad for her and them! I'm praying that God would lay this burden on my hubby's heart like he's done mine :)

I watched a documentary of what it's like in those places and just cried. I wish there was so much more that I could do.

I'm like melissa, three of my "favs" have found families. If I was old enough I'd adopt them all myself. I will adopt one day. If I hit 30 and am single I'm starting that process. I'd take all those kids home if I could!!!!

BULGARIA and ARMENIA do accept
single parents to adopt. LATVIA also.

Just in case anyone is interested! There is more information on the Reece's Rainbow website.

I had already developed my asthma by 3 months so, no, Keeghan is not too young. Definitely get it checked out, though. It's not a fun disease to live with untreated. Just let me know if you have any questions...I've lived with it for 23 years!

Lu,

That's good to know! I'm only 20, but I can't look at those beautiful faces and NOT want to take them home....
