I've been blog crazy lately! I've had more blog posts than I've known what to do with and had things scheduled days in advance and I was organized. Then Thanksgiving came... and my stats fell (which I'm glad for because it's pretty lame to sit at my blog on Turkey day! LOL). But once my stats fell I thought, OK this week is a wash. And then something weird happened: All my post ideas left my brain. And I sat here staring at my screen wondering what I was going to talk about.
Actually, Kennedy has some sort of bug in her body right now. She's been fighting a head cold for a couple weeks now and Sunday night she spiked a 103 fever. I got it down with Tylenol (she's not allowed to have Motrin while her neck is healing) and then yesterday morning she woke up fine, no fever, nada! Still, to be safe I made her an appointment with her pediatrician for today because as we all know, when Kennedy gets sick she gets REALLY sick, REALLY fast.
However, I was talking to my friend Kim and she asked me when Kennedy's next hemonc appointment was. "Oh," I said, "It's sometime the beginning of December." Oh, right, it IS December! UGH! So I called the clinic and her appointment is TODAY! HA! So, I cancelled her appointment with her pediatrician and we'll see what the hemonc docs say.
Her temp spiked again yesterday afternoon. It went from nothing to 101 and slowly crept up to 105. After a luke-warm bath and and more Tylenol she got back down to 103 and there she sat for the rest of the night. She slept well though and doesn't seem to have any other symptoms besides the same head congestion she's had for weeks. This morning she's back to normal. I'm wondering if she might have a UTI. As usual, my mom is out of town on business, but she said if they decide to admit Kennedy she can fly home early. I really hate that she keeps getting these random fevers!
Anyway, besides that, all is well. We saw some snow flurries yesterday. The kids were hoping for a full on snow storm so they'd have another day off school, but no such luck. They melted on contact.
I'll update later today on Kennedy! Please send up a little prayer that they can figure it all out!

ahh UTI's. Malachi was in the hospital for a week with a UTI. His fever was 103-105 and no one could get it down. He was in the peds ICU and could not go into his room with out putting on a gown, gloves and a mask. All for a UTI! We are praying for Kennedy!!! Good Luck
Hope everything is okay with Kennedy today. Is your appt. at Vandy today? If so, we'll be on the 9th floor at 2:00. Look for us! Praying for you guys!
awww poor baby. I hope its a quick fix and no hospital stay
Isn't it fun to make a ped appointment and have to say she is doing fine now?! That's one way you can tell how good/understanding your ped's office is. Saturday I took Luke to Urgent Care they asked what his symptoms were -- I responded with he has been hitting me all morning. I did explain the autism and major ear problems. But still the only symptom what his aggressiveness. Turns out he has a sinus infection, ear infection and a sore throat.
Hope all goes well for Kennedy (and you!) today.
We are praying for Kennedy to feel better soon and that the doc's can give you some answers to these random fevers.
Joany and Carly
Feel better soon kiddo.

I will keep her in my prayers. Poor kid seems like she is always fighting something.
Sorry to disappoint Kass and Kam but I am praying for the exact opposite of snow in Clarksville. I am going to be driving through there on our way back across the country and I am hoping to see as little snow as possible.
Praying her fevers resolve quickly.
It is hard when you don't know why your kid is sick!
Good luck at clinic.
I can't believe you had snow down there and my BIL didn't call me to tell me about it. He ALWAYS does!
I hope Kennedy is feeling 100% better!
We hope Kenn feels better soon, and no hospital stays are necessary! I LOVE your Mom!
Hope Kenn feels better soon and that you figure it all out and she doesn't have to be admitted. Jason had a random fever all weekend and we were in Oregon where our insurance isn't accepted at all so I had to wait until we were back in Washington to take him in. Then he woke up yesterday morning and was just fine. Grrr
I hope she's feelig better soon! Hugs and kisses to my little friend Kennedy!
keep checking in for updates, if you can, let us know via the iphone! praying for kenn!
