I used to write out my resolutions and seal them in an envelope not to be opened until Dec 31 the next year, but have not had any time to do that anymore.
I will be posting my results of this year's resolutions on Dec 31 to show how I fared… stay tuned.
Can you BELIVE it's already the end of 2008? Where did this year go? I feel like I totally blew this year away. This was gonna be a great year w/ a great job & lose weight. Pffffffff I changed jobs but it wasn't what I thought it was be. Sooooo 7 W2's later...... well I've got a good job. (I worked a lot of temp jobs!)
I don't really make resolutions, but I'm going to try to lose 30 lbs by my parents' 50th anniversary at the end of March. And I'm going to attempt to read the Bible through this year. I actually started in November, doing an online program, and right now I'm nearly done with Exodus (it's chronologically--or however that's spelled).
I typically don't make resolutions, but this year, I have two of them....lose weight (gonna be pretty hard being as though my husband and I are going to start trying to have another baby, so I'm confident I'm going to break that resolution! :) and secondly, the resolution that I hope to be able to keep is to become a better Christian. I know, I know, everyone says that, but I mean it! I attend church every Sunday, I teach Sunday school, etc. but the way that I act when I'm at work DEFINITELY needs to be more "Christian-like" so that's my goal! :)
I do NOT make resolutions. I make a commitment to God every three months during the year and ask His help so I can change what I need to change. Does that make sense? That way I am held accountable for what I said I would do. So far, I have NEVER commited to ask Him to help me with weight loss. I am seriously thinking on that one for this next year.
No New Years resolutions. I tend to break them by Feb. or so. I think I will try to get better at things one day at a time instead of thinking about my plan for the whole year.
I fail miserably at them; always! This year, I am calling it a challenge, not a resolution, and blogging about it so maybe I will do better this time??? Then again, maybe my second blog will just be deleted by mid-year and I'll end up sticking with The More The Murrayer and pretending like the whole challenge thing never happened...we'll see. :)
I ALWAYS have resolutions throughout the year! I don't specifically make "New Year's" resolutions since those are just meant to be broken! How about you?
Hmmmm...sometimes I make resolutions, but don't always keep them..What I like to do is make resolutions for YOU to keep! I think that's a great idea! I'll give you your list when I get back home...LOL
I have a running list in my head that I'm thinking I need to write down to make as real goals. They're not intentionally NY resolutions, but the timing seems appropriate. Thanks for your comment. People can be so rude!
I always toy with the idea...but then, follow through? (what would, based on previous years, NOT happen) Do I disappoint/irritate/frustrate myself more?!
Boy, I sound like a super-duper pessimist.
Maybe that's a sign that I really NEED to make a new year's resolution. Stop being so negative!

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog where I take on day to day life with my five amazing children: Kassidy, Kameron, Kennedy, Keeghan & Kellsey, and a husband in the Military. Join us as we face issues with Down syndrome, Leukemia, Deployments, and every day life with 5 young kids! You'll be in for the ride of your life!
My name is Renee, I am 34 years old, I am married to the Army... oh wait I mean I'm married to a Soldier, my hero. Same thing right? I am a misplaced Californian who lives in Colorado by way of Tennessee. I am a mini-van driving soccer mom... I always knew I would be! I am blessed to be able to stay home with my 5 amazing kids. Kassidy: my beautiful, too smart for her own good, funny, dramatic 13 year old who is starting her teen years with grace. Kameron: My high strung, smart, artistic, creative, silly, sometimes mysterious 11 year old who loves musical theater and acting. My 8 year old diva, Kennedy: who will most often be found dancing or dreaming of Justin Bieber. She's destined for the stars! Keeghan: my crazy, funny, silly, handsome 5 year old monkey who loves to ask me a million questions all day long; and our 6 year old Ukrainian Princess Kellsey who is finding her way in the world as she battles Reactive Attachment Disorder. Our goal for her is to make sure she knows she is always loved, wherever that may take her... I'm so incredibly blessed.

Well, my 2008 resolution was to send Frank boxes of Hot Cheerios and I failed to send ONE box, so I guess I break them. :(
My resolution is to gain weight. That way, if I fail to do so, I won't be disapointed. hee hee :P

I used to make resolutions, but I never was very good at keeping them. So I don't tend to make them anymore.
