Best. Candy. Ever.

Do you know that there are over 100 flavors of Hershey's Kisses? Seriously. I kind of knew this. I knew there were a lot more than I suspected because this summer we went to Hershey, PA and went to Chocolate World. I could live there. I'm pretty sure I'd be 300 pounds, but I could SO totally live there.

So around Christmastime I was at Target and I found these:

Those would be little dollops of minty heaven called Candy Cane Kisses. I bought a bag... then another, and another, and then two more. And now? They don't sell them anymore. It's like some cruel cosmic joke. Just as I was almost done mourning over them, I was digging in the back seat of my van and found a full bag! YES! So now I'm savoring each one, sharing a little... sometimes. And when I eat my last one, I'll be sad again.

Hershey's better bring them back next Christmas... only 11 months to go.

Ok, I had no idea they had that many flavors. I knew of like 3 and your post makes 4, lol. I'm missing out on some good stuff!

You are so funny when you post about foods you love! First the McRib and now the kisses! I am the same way with "my" foods too. I really LOVE them, you know? Yeah, you know!

We live an hour south of Hershey PA. I have only been there once last summer with my sisters family. We moved out here in 2007. I would like to go back so I can see what we did not get to see. They made Candy Corn Hershey Kisses at Halloween and I still have a half of bag because my kids did not care for them. They would rather just eat the plain ole chocolate hershey kisses. Have you ever made the cookies with the hershey kiss in the middle? I suppose you could use any kind of hershey kiss but they are really good with the chocolate ones.

I Love these!!!!!!!!!

Those candy cane kisses were good...but I guess they only make things with candy canes at Christmas...but maybe if the Hershey company knew how much people loved them they would start making them all the time...ya never know. I also have had candy cane hot chocolate...that was good too!

I stayed away from them.. I need another candy addiction like another hole in the head. I got hooked on the cococunt kisses a while ago... they also stopped making those too. Sigh! Probably better of because of it.

Those are sooooo YUMMO Renee!!! My favorites! I got hooked on them last year, so they should be back next year! Oooooh, so glad I still have a bag in the pantry, because now I want some!!!

I love these too. This year was the second year that I've gotten them so I'm assuming they are coming back next year, or at least they better! I also love the special dark kisses too.

Those are good! I haven't found a version of hershey kiss's that I don't love :) The cherry cordial, ones filled w/ caramel, and then of course the hugs are my top 3 :) I definitely don't share, mine are in a bowl on top of the cabinets! I have to get a chair to even get to them but it does keep me from consuming the whole bag at one time :)

I'm sorry they dissappeared! They don't have them in Finland...Period. Maybe the American/English/Australian food store in Helsinki. But, I think it's a 20 bucks or something!

We discovered these this year also. Sooo yummy! I love Chocolate World, we go every year!! (not this year, we're vacationinag a little different, heehee)

I LOVE minty chocolate, but we don't get those here. We are sooooo deprived from all the good stuff I tell ya! You should see me stock up on certain things everytime we go into the U.S. But these would be a no-no in our house (because of allergies). I'll live vicariously through you.

mmmmmmmm sounds yummy ,Enjoy your last bag of candy cane kisses girl! Don't eat them all in a day! lol

Chocolate mint ANYTHING is good in my estimation... I have had several of the different varieties of these but not... those. It's probably a good thing, in my case, that they won't be available for a long time again! Hope you can find a substitute in the meantime!

I have this same kind of love affair with a Christmas candy made by JellyBelly. They make a cherry sour Santa and I wait for them all year. I buy just about every package I can get my hands on once they put them out for the Holiday and could almost cry when I eat the last one (which I did this past week while I was sick! They were about the only thing I could taste!)

You order a 6 lb bag for $59.40 if you get desperate!

I don't think we have those here so be warned if you visit England lol! I actually can't think of anything in the UK that has 100 flavours!! This makes me laugh!

I hope they read this and send you some haha

These are MY favorite candies too!!! Just yesterday I told my MIL that i NEEDED a bag, she said I'd have to wait until christmas WAAAAHHHH!!!! Maybe ebay?!

Stephanie said...

YaY!!!! They DO have them on ebay, bags and bags of them!!!!

It's a good thing for you that the Christmas candy always comes out way before Christmas. So come October you should be able to get a hold of that stuff.

Plus, I am gonna use you link to all of the DS blogs for a mom who just contacted me through Facebook. She doesn't have a confirmed diagnosis, yet, but I think all of our beautiful children can help ease her mind!

I cannot believe you posted this today.

I found 2 bags in the clearance cart for 50 cents each a couple of weeks ago. I bought them both and hid them and have been having 1-2 each afternoon...it's my little reward for eating healthier and going to the gym at 5:45 each morning.

So I came home last night and there were little Hershey labels/wrappers all over my basement. Ben and the kids had eaten the bag and a half that were left. I was sooooo mad! He finds and eats snacks/candy that I buy for the kids' lunchboxes all the time, but these were MY afternoon happy place, darnit!

So when I confronted him, not very nicely, I might add, he did actually feel bad and said he would buy me a bag tomorrow. Um, hello? THERE AREN'T ANYMORE UNTIL NEXT YEAR!

He felt worse. I hope. Much, much worse.

i am so addicted to the cadbury minieggs that come around at easter. Thank the baby jesus that cadbury is making holidy miniballs as well that are esentially the same thing!

I never even knew you could get these, but they sound so yummy!

But, Renee, what I REALLY want to know is . . .
Do you only "get one piece when they've (you've) eaten a good meal" - "no more than 2 pieces per day" or are you hiding your candy wrappers behind the deep freeze? Hmmmmmmm?????

get one piece when they've eaten a good meal. No more than 2 pieces per day

Julie said...

OH YES!!! THOSE ARE SO WONDERFUL!!!!!!

Have you read the recipe on the back to make the cheesecake? I'm waiting for the day that I can make that. I have a whole bag in my fridge just for that reason! : )

ENJOY!!!

Stephanie said...

Have you tried the cheesecake kisses? Personally, I like the caramel ones the best.

Sandy and said...

Have you tried looking at Big Lots for them? They often have "out of season" candy that is still perfectly good.

Oriental Trading has them for $2.49 a bag:) You should stock up!

I am having the same addiction/problem with the Peppermint Mocha Coffee creamer only available during the Holidays. I keep looking for it. I have one container left. LOL!!

Cheryl said...

I love these kisses too!! Like many others, this was the second year I bought them. My husband hates them. LOL I also buy "seasonal" kisses with different flavors and wrappers to make my house more fun. No one here is that excited about them so I now have a cupboard full of kisses. So much for that idea...

stock up next year.....you can freeze them or put them in a rubbermaid tub in the basement & they keep amazingly well!!!! especially the afterchristmas clearence shelf : ) savor each & every one......

The important question here is - how does an entire bag of these things GO MISSING? Unless, of course, there were so many in your car to begin with. . . HA!

Kelli said...

You already got me started on the McRib, please. I need to loose 40 pounds by summer for my sons wedding. I want to be the cute mom. hehe, I am so mean. Really I just want to be better looking than I am now, like I was 8 years ago, when I got married. hehe, two kids later. thats alot of different flavors of kisses huh!

Bobby said...

Those are my FAVORITE!!! I bought 2 full cases (yup...almost 50 bags!!!) when they first started appearing this season...back in like October. LMAO! I threw them in the freezer.

Ya wanna make that last bag last forever? Freeze them!! Then it takes like 10 mins for one to melt in your mouth. SOOOOO yummy! LMAO!

Kim Davis said...

I have one bag left -- if you think those are good, we made cheesecake out of them!!!! Find a good recipe and melt the entire bag and stir into the middle layer -- I even added a few drops of red food coloring to the cake to make it extra good!!!!

I know exactly how you feel...only I'm sure that Hershey's will make your kisses next year.

The fast food chain Krystal use to have onion petals on their menus. OH MY GOODNESS...They were so good! So much better than onion rings, better than fries, sooo good! I LOVED them.

They had them when Seth and I were just getting serious and he would bring me an order every once and a while to suprise me at work (soooo much better than flowers!)...or just when we were driving around wanting a snack....or when we were just sitting at my house and I wasn't actually hungry but wanted onion petals anyway...yeah, they were that good.

The sign always said "for a limited time" but I took that for granted. And then, one day, they didn't have them. They were soooo good and I was so sad for days. I then thought that it might be like the McRib and would be back in a year or something...still waiting for that...three years later.
