Today will end Kennedy's first week at school :). She stayed dry all day on Wednesday! This morning when I dropped her off, she went in and went potty, washed her hands and then asked, "Hug?... Kiss?... BYE!"
Keeghan is sick again. It started with a runny nose a couple days ago and now he's wheezing really bad again which means more breathing treatments for him! FUN. Not.
The kids and I got our physicals done yesterday. I told Kass and Kam they wouldn't need shots. Turns out I lied. But I didn't know! Kass needed a chicken pox booster and a Hep A shot and Kam needed just the Hep A. They also both needed TB tests. Otherwise they are both very healthy and both have 20/20 vision. I have to take them back tomorrow to get their TB tests looked at and then on Tuesday Kenn and Keeghan need to get TB tests done. I also need to go back on Tuesday because my doctor isn't open on the weekend so I couldn't get my TB test yesterday. I had to get blood drawn for a bunch of stuff and had to do a drug screen.
Anyway, Frank and I are going to buckle down and answer our

What a cutie! Ike wore that same shirt yesterday! I notice all your shoes are put up-- how the heck did that happen? My kids throw their shoes all around the shoe rack but rarely on/in it!

You crack me up...really. That is way too cold to get out of bed much less the house...our schools would def. be closed. Glad to hear that K is wanting you to get a life instead of crying like so many kids do when it is time for school , at least she enjoys it.
Brrrrr that is too cold to get out. I shouldn't share that we have are having record breaking warm temps this week and will be at 70 again today.

Okay, we were -4 I think this morning when I woke up. School was not canceled nor delayed. I thought maybe a delay, but I guess all those buses started right up this morning ;). Oh and the fact that we're in CT means we don't mind no stinkin cold, hahahahaha. This is crazy weather though. Sorry you didn't get a day off like you were anticipating. Glad the physicals went well yesterday. I hope Kass and Kam weren't too mad at you for telling them no shots when they needed them. I hope Keeghan starts feeling better. I swear CJ has had one constant cold all winter. I just hate the winter months ;). Can Keeghan come over and vacuum my house though? CJ's terrified of the vacuum so I have a hard time getting it done ;).
I want to feel bad for you but it was -35 here! Skin freezes in 10 minutes. My car would barely start. Plus the city has had a bus strike for over a month so kids
are walking miles in this weather!

Our schools don't close for cold either. Yesterday, the high was 16* at 7 am, it just kept getting colder. Today, we're at a balmy 23* according to the thermostat in the Jeep.
Oh, and Aiden is the same way at school. He'll give me a hug and then say "bye" -- sometimes it is still a slap in the face, but at least he enjoys going to school.
2nd day of no school here due to temps...this am was a frigid -16 before windchill-yuck! waiting for the warmup tomorrow- it's supposed to be 20 :) Hope little man feels better soon!
I feel ya girl! It's been that cold around here too (-10 with windchill). Fortunately the kids had today and Monday off so they only had to really freeze one day! lol
so today i drove to the dr. my van said -22 below. nope don't feel sorry for you. :0) lol. and i must've missed that anon comment. wow. i had one a few weeks ago. i don't understand why people are so cowardly. oh well. love your randomness, as always...
Being orginally from NY, I had to laugh when school was closed! I called my mom and sister in NY and they also got a laugh out of it!! Love the picture of Keeghan vacuuming! Olivia is obsessed with the broom and will throw a tantrum until I get it out to sweep! She also can't stand for the dogs toys to be downstairs and will tell me thank you when I throw them upstairs!

Yes, my husband is from NY too (the part that gets lake-effect snow) so he is not easily impressed either... good thing he's not the superintendent... my kids didn't have school today because they were supposed to have a half day (the teachers had a meeting, which they were still having!) so it was just canceled. Aidan is at a playdate and I am home with eeevvverrryyone else...
Hope Keeghan is feeling better - winter, sickness, ugh.

Don't you just love Tennessee...It will be almost 60 again next week UGH! THAT is why we all have crusty noses and our heads feel like they are going to explode! Our schools were out today and I couldn't believe it. Would have been perfect except my mother decided to call me at 7:30 this morning to TELL me school was out! HELLO! I'm a teacher! I found out last night!!
We had school here and I was actually wondering if it would be cancelled. At 7am it was -14 at our house. It's the coldest day since 1994 for us.

Ok, well we had a whopping 2 hour late start, but that's because it was only MINUS 25 degrees. Had it hit 30 school would have been cancel. Zero degrees...hhmm...last week Angela and I were horseback riding and it was zero. LOL
Be careful with that Hep A shot, I got mine done, and now I have these hot,red rashes that keep coming back! Oh, and I'll take it you didn't buy Keeghan's shirt?? Ha! Sisnce you said you hate buying character shirts and all...:) Glad everything's coming along just fine!

Honestly as someone who has lived -40 and colder (did you see my WW) in Fairbanks where it is very dry and 0 in Kentucky where there is more humidity I personally think that 0 there is more intolerable because of the moisture in the air. But hey that's just me. There's an Army base in Fairbanks maybe one day you'll see for yourself ;)

I think your Super needs to look around at the other towns. Does he not realize that when the city has to use the heat to heat the schools, it takes away from other people? Or at least that's what they told us in 79 when it happened here!

*grumble grumble* I WISH it were 2 here!!! we were -35 with windchill last night!!! My school district (that I student teach at) didn't close OR have a two hour delay at ALL this week. Though, they closed today - of course the kids weren't coming in anyways - teacher work day!!
