What is the best job in the world and why? What job would you never want?
As for my last QOTD my favorite smell in the whole world is sunblock!!!! Can't believe no one mentioned that one! :)

Besides being a wife and mama? I would love to sing opera professionally.
Worse job? Trash collection, I think.
Mommy, hands down. Other than that, photographer.
I'd never want to be pilot...to many lives in my hands.
Also, besides being a mom and wife, I'd love to be a wedding planner. :) Or a professional artist.
For the worst... I'd have to say cleaning port-a-pottys. Ick.
Aside from my job as a wife & mom, I'd love to be the director of a maternity home for women/girls in crisis. That's really where my heart is and why I'm going to school to become a social worker.
I agree with the worst job being cleaning out porta-pottys! lol
Oh, and the smell of sunblock? Yuck! I love berry smells and the smell of the ocean.
Best job in the world would have to be a domestic engineer, AKA SAHM. There are so many rewards and challenges. And in what other job do you truly get to see your hard work paying off when your 14 month old son who has been slow to do any sort of gross motor skills crawls up four stairs and then sits there with a huge smile on his face? What other job do you get hugs and kisses just because you are you? How much better does that get? Plus, there's always something new. Some new challenge and way to learn. How great.
The worst job I would say is probably someone who cleans septic tanks or maybe an exterminator. I would not want to do either of those things, but I'm glad someone does them ;).
Sunblock? Seriously? I feel nauseous thinking about it. Bleh.
Hands down MOM...even when I'm cleaning up puck or breaking up a fight...got to love it NEVER a dull moment...AND you always will have job security...LOL!

Worst- probably customer service for wal-mart
Aside from being a mum, which I'm sure is totally the best, I would say being a teacher! I really want to be a teacher, because it is so rewarding to see children doing well! (And of course, you do get the most amazing holidays!)
Worst, for me, is what I did for work-experience, in a shop where they didn't care about the customers at all, all they cared about was profit. Like.. recommend the most expensive product you can, even if the own brand had the same ingredients. And they went on and on about sales mean prizes! I hated it.
Hmmm....being a Stay at home MOM was by far the best job I've ever had (and the least paying!).
Now that the kids are grown and gone I appreciate that job even more! My daughter-in-love is a stay at home mom....I'm so blessed!
Worst job?? My hubby worked at a tannery once. Probably the grossest thing I've ever experienced! I made him undress before he ever got all the way in the house! We made him leave his dirty uniforms outside in a box about 20 feet from the nearest window!
Besides being a wife and a mom the best job is being a teacher. I love being in the classroom and touching the lives of children.
Wost job garbage man or septic tank pumper. I have a weak stomach so those jobs are soooo out!
I would still like to go back to the law...adoption law is the reason I went to law school in the first place, so I would like to do that in my near future!!
I would NOT like to be a nurse. I have BIGTIME respect for doctors and nurses. They do the things that I am so glad that they do... but I could not handle the stuff they do like they do it... it takes a special person! I'll stick to the paperwork and outreach stuff... :)

I have the best job EVER right now and that's being a stay-at-home Mom. I would never want to work at the dump. Stinky, nasty, gross!
The best job in the world is definitely being a parent...and I got a taste of that in the Philippines...it was the most rewarding thing I have ever done. The worst job would have to be cleaning public restrooms or road kill removal or well...there are probably alot of yucky jobs that I would not want...but I am glad that somebody does them...and equally glad that somebody is not me :)!
And my favorite smells...apple pie, pumpkin pie, gingerbread...anything that smells as good as it tastes!
Being the computer nerd I am, if there was a way I could make a living playing World of Warcraft ~~ without losing my DH, of course ~~ I would SOOOO do that!!!!!
The best job in the world would have to be a job where I could work at home, doing data entry something, working the hrs I wanted, and not having to worry about money.
As far as the job I would NEVER want! No way would I ever say that because you know what would happen? That's the job the Lord would put me in! There's a lot of things I wouldn't want to do like what that guy Mike shows on Dirty Jobs (YUCK0)!
I will say that right now, the job I would not want is the job that Jim Cantorie has on The Weather Channel, having to stand in the freezing cold in Chicago so we can watch his nose get frostbit! LOL
I don't know if there is a Best job in the world. BUt I do LOVE my job! I as a retail operations manager for a HUGE high end retail corporation. I love my job! NEVER the same two days in a row, and I LOVE that I make a direct difference in the company! Very chanllenging and lots of people to manage, but FUN, and the people make my job what it is.....great company too!
Job I would NEVER want, ANYTHING to do with a prison or jail!!!!!They TERRIFY ME to no end!
I think the most amazing job is what those people on TV do when they just travel to different locations and show you where to eat, where to stay and what to do!!! They get to do all that and get PAID FOR IT!! WOW!!!
Would not want to be a nurse(couldn't do some of the things they have to do), dairy farmer(they get up way to early in the morning) or septic tank cleaner(don't need to say anything about THAT).
I agree with Jill - I wanna sing Opera! And I love learning sign-language. So, how about singing with Deaf West Theatre where they sing and sign at the same time? WOW that would be amazing!
Smells? Ocean of course! I love the smell of sunscreen because I usually wear it when I'm headed to the beach. Ah the anticipation!
My job! I get to work with causes like Ronald McDonald House, Susan G. Komen, Relay for Life and March of Dimes on a regular basis. I get to write press releases, hang out with members of the media, and get my work published on a regular basis. I get to go down and look at the sweet babies in the nursery almost anytime I want. I get to work closely with talented nurses and doctors and think about ways to make them and their patients happier. And I get PAID to do all of that! I am so thankful that this job came into my life when I wasn't even really looking for it and at a time when so many are looking for good jobs like this. God works in mysterious ways...he put me through 3 majors and several years of indecision, showed me what I was really good at and then he put the thought into a few people's heads to create a position just to use my skills!
My other job at the shop is the other best one. I get to hang around kids all the time, gift wrap, think of cool ways to bring customers in, and shop for a living!
The worst job? Something having to do with math...I can't even add large numbers in my head...can't imagine having to do it all the time!

The answers in this post are sooooo funny! It really goes to show you that women can do anything they put their heart into. I mean, Perspective! (Seeing it with our heart and not our eyes!) The majority of these posts say, the best job is being a mother/wife and the worst job is trash collector,septictank/port-a-potty cleaner,nurse . . . I have one question . . . WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? Perspective. - LOL
I think a destination event planner would be the best job - travel and planning fabulous events! Whoo Hoooo!
I think being a professional fisherman would be pretty miserable (cold, wet, salt water spray raining on your face,wearing unflattering rubber pants and wrestling with a big ole' slimmy fish on the deck of a boat? --- NOT for me!)but nothing is worse than being unemployeed and unneeded! THAT would be the worst!
