I actually have to really think about this. At first I thought well any Def Leppard song because I love Def Leppard. I couldn't pick just one song that we would have to start out with. So one of my favorite on the road songs is ZZ Tops La Grange.
The first song on my driving playlist is "Life is a Highway" (the version from the Cars movie) so that's a pretty logical place to start. The Beach Boys is a close second, but I guess it kind of depends on where we're going.
Even though it's a "family" vacation, it's MY vacation. So, even though there are boys in the family too, the first song I would BLAST is "Girls just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. One of my all time favorite pick me up songs! One of the first songs I downloaded when I got my IPOD.
Well I would start with ...We're all going on a summer holiday by Cliff Richards...(only change the words from fun and laughter, to NO MORE laughter!! haha)then I would play, probably a couple of time..Most People I know, think that I'm crazyyyyyyy" by Billy Thorpe (aus singer dont know if you have heard this, i'll put it on my blog if you haven't!!) throw in some accadacca...ac/dc for those NOT australian with Highway to hell, and it's a long way to the top (or its a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll, my fave version haha) and then, start at the beginning and drive the husband totally nuts with cliff richard!! just because..that's my job!
Well, it depends upon where we are going on vacation. "We're off to see the Wizard" aka "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" or "Days Go By" or "Two Tickets to Paradise" or "Rocky Top"
Whatever Koby wanted to hear, so that I didn't have to hear him say Momma, and when I turn to look at him see him sign more music over and over and over till I just gave him what he wanted anyway! LOL!!!!

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog where I take on day to day life with my five amazing children: Kassidy, Kameron, Kennedy, Keeghan & Kellsey, and a husband in the Military. Join us as we face issues with Down syndrome, Leukemia, Deployments, and every day life with 5 young kids! You'll be in for the ride of your life!
My name is Renee, I am 34 years old, I am married to the Army... oh wait I mean I'm married to a Soldier, my hero. Same thing right? I am a misplaced Californian who lives in Colorado by way of Tennessee. I am a mini-van driving soccer mom... I always knew I would be! I am blessed to be able to stay home with my 5 amazing kids. Kassidy: my beautiful, too smart for her own good, funny, dramatic 13 year old who is starting her teen years with grace. Kameron: My high strung, smart, artistic, creative, silly, sometimes mysterious 11 year old who loves musical theater and acting. My 8 year old diva, Kennedy: who will most often be found dancing or dreaming of Justin Bieber. She's destined for the stars! Keeghan: my crazy, funny, silly, handsome 5 year old monkey who loves to ask me a million questions all day long; and our 6 year old Ukrainian Princess Kellsey who is finding her way in the world as she battles Reactive Attachment Disorder. Our goal for her is to make sure she knows she is always loved, wherever that may take her... I'm so incredibly blessed.

On The Road Again - Willie Nelson
I'd have to say, "Life is a Highway", the Rascall Flatts version! It's something that we all like and would get us all going!!!
Lori Kyle
Jimmy Buffett "Cheeseburger in Paradise" Hopefully headed somewhere tropical!! I love the beach!
On the road again by Willie Nelson. We are dorks and at least sing it and when we are in Tx we sing Amarillo by morning from George strait, LOL
"Help Me Make It Through The Night"
I'm not sure who sings it, but if you're traveling w/ 4 kids, you need all the help you can get! LOL
Have a safe trip!
I know this dates me...but I love driving while listening to the Doobie Brothers!
Most generally "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. Something is going to go wrong.
I'd have to start with the Doxalogy! "Praise God from whom all blessings flow"
Vacations are rare around here, and they are a real treat when we get one!
(Rumor has it that a cruise to Nassau may be in our summer plans)
This Is The Song That Never Ends from Lambchop. Ha, I like to drive Jayson crazy
