This just makes me SICK! This babysitter in LA was watching 3 kids and said they were disturbing her television watching... so she put the older 2 kids into another room and put the 5 MONTH OLD baby in the DRYER and turned it on for 3 minutes! SERIOUSLY?!
The poor baby died of skull fracturs and burns. I hope that stupid babysitter gets what's coming to her. I really do. If I were the mother... well... it wouldn't be pretty.

I linked to this last night, I just don't get how some people can do the things they do and think there is nothing wrong with the weird sick thing they are doing!
If I was the mom or even that stupid girl's mom she would be praying the police got her before I did !
OH MY GOSH! How stupid can you be! What are these people thinking? They're not, that's the problem! I bet it's a case of how young kids don't think about the consequences of their actions.
Remember that story last year about the stupid man who put the baby in the microwave? Oh gads! That was really sick!
OMG, that's horrifying. Maybe someone needs to put that woman in the dryer and turn it on so she can get an idea of what that poor defenseless little baby felt like. Just sickening.
Thanks for making me cry...again! I sometimes think I shouldn't read your blog anymore because sometimes it's just too sad...CANCER SUCKS. Guess who will NOT be hiring a babysitter, EVER!?
I loved at the end of the story that her lawyer declined comment. What could the person say??? You know he/she probably thought the babysitter had lost her mind.
Unfortunately there are too many people in this world just like her!
This story is the epitome of ignorance! Did she not KNOW that tossing a baby at all(let alone in a dryer) is DANGEROUS. This girl is NINETEEN,not a little girl. But obviously one that has not had the parental guidance needed to babysit or to have children of her own for that matter!!! One of the worst I've heard lately. Maybe it will draw attention to the training & guidance needed to be around children. Thanks for sharing Renee...an eye opener for us all.

That is just so sick!!! I agree... if I were a mother... wll there probably wouldn't be a dryer big enough for her but I'd find one!
I don't know what to say....except for stories like this make me thankful I am not God. I am SURE I wouldn't be as forgiving as he would be....WOW~!
That is just sad....I hardly ever leave the kids with anyone...but we can't trust anyone either these days...
WTF!!!???!!! Are you kidding me?!?! I am at a loss for words other than what I said. What is wrong with people? OMG!!!!

I don't understand some people! Seriously what the HECK was she thinking. It is a good thing I am not the mother either! What is our world coming too? It isn't a pretty picture on so many levels!
OMG! It seems like people are getting sicker by the minute in their minds. What is our world coming to? She wouldn't be standing upright if she did that to my kids! In March of last year a babysitter couldn't get a little girl to stop crying. She punched her in the head then took her by the feet and swung her head into a door frame twice breaking her skull in two places and now she permanently damaged. She is 1 year old now and like a two-month old.
19 years old... despite the age of the sitter... I still can't fathom anyone thinking that was a good idea.
Oh my goodness--what is wrong with people like this? In WV (our state) last week a couple babysitting a 3 year old was charged with killing him by giving him methadone--even though it came from a prescription bottle they said they thought it was cough medicine or decongestant and they were trying to help him sleep. Unbelievable.

I'm in tears and SICK to my stomach! I just don't get it. When I was 7 I had a babysitter who did unmentionable thing to me and my sister. I vowed I would be THE BEST babysitter I could be. I'm not perfect, but I pray always that parents will no I'm a safe person to leave their children with. I have families I've babysatt for, for 10 years, and I never want to stop. I love those kids SO much, they are like little nieces and nephews.
Not all babysitters are sick and twisted. I don't have kids yet so I don't truly know but, I think I love them just as much as I would love my own. I praise God when a parent leaves their kid with me without really even knowing me. I thank God it was me, and that the child is safe. It's happened a few times. A friend of a friend of a friend says they know someone, and give them my number. I hope this babysitter is punished severely. I am praying for that mother too!!!
Ughh... just ugh. Praying for the children's family.

Wait, she did what? What? TURNED IT ON? Wh...O_o
This story made me sick to my stomach.
There's a local teen girl here my daughter knows who lost her son after the father shook him. SBS.
So awful...

Just sickening!
omg this is horrible! I dont want to read the whole story, so sad!
That's why I can't follow the news. I live in a bubble...the Disney channel/Food Network bubble.
People like that... (well I have a few choice words for them but I know this is a G-rated blog.)
OMG! That is just unbelievable! It just makes me physically sick. That poor mom. I'm afraid if I were her the crazy Puerto Rican would not be able to be surpressed!!
That is sick. I am off to read the article now.
That is so sad. I cannot understand people anymore. I have given up trying to even reason with them. My heart goes out to that poor mother who lost her angel.
I don't even have words that is SO bad!
In the dryer?!?!?! 5 months old?!?!
When I'm babysitting I'm too busy worrying that I'm doing the wrong thing or something. If there's a problem I call the parent of the child I'm babysitting or I call my Mum and ask her what she'd do (she's clever like that hehe)
My friend says that if her daughter starts crying I'm to leave her for like 10 minutes if she's still going then I should check on her to make sure she's not hurt herself then leave her again to see if she settles.
One time I babysat she wouldn't stop crying so we parked in front of the TV and watched dancing with the stars - that calmed her down then I put her down again and she was fine!
Holy Crap this made me vomit!
