So this was my post for yesterday, but obviously since I didn't have internet access, it didn't get posted! I wasn't going to post it at all because I wasn't sure it would still be effective, but here it is anyway! May we never forget the REAL reason for Memorial Day!
So true and we spent our Memorial Day doing just that. Joe's father (who passed away 15 years ago) fought in the Korean war. We went up to the memorial cemetery and put flowers on his grave.

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog where I take on day to day life with my four amazing children: Kassidy, Kameron, Kennedy & Keeghan, and a husband in the Military. Join us as we face issues with Down syndrome, Leukemia, Deployments, and every day life with 4 young kids! You'll be in for the ride of your life!
My name is Renee, I am 34 years old, I am married to the Army... oh wait I mean I'm married to a Soldier, my hero. Same thing right? I am a misplaced Californian who lives in Colorado by way of Tennessee. I am a mini-van driving soccer mom... I always knew I would be! I am blessed to be able to stay home with my 4 amazing kids. Kassidy: my beautiful, too smart for her own good, funny, dramatic 13 year old who is starting her teen years with grace. Kameron: My high strung, smart, artistic, creative, silly, sometimes mysterious 11 year old who loves musical theater and acting. My 9 year old diva, Kennedy: who will most often be found dancing or dreaming of Justin Bieber. She's destined for the stars! and Keeghan: my crazy, funny, silly, handsome 6 year old monkey who loves to ask me a million questions all day long... I'm so incredibly blessed.

I hope everyone remembered why they had Monday off from work.
That last one is very poignant. I forgot to do a Memorial Day post... I decided to write it today somewhere around two this morning lol. xD
Thank you for posting this - and for being a Service Family.

*Applause* What a wonderful post!
Nope, it did not lose its meaning. Awesome cartoons that brought tears to my eyes!
You know why they play TAPS at 2300?
According to a three year old, its the military's way of crying for its lost soldiers.
I think they were still very effective! Thanks to your hubby as well!
Thanks for posting these. Made me tear up.
One of my dad's friends from the National Guard died on 9/11. He worked at the Pentagon and he's office was the one that the plane hit. :O(
