Kassidy is sick. She woke up yesterday morning and said that she felt dizzy and everything ached. She felt a little warm so I took her temp and she was just a little over 100, so she hung out on my mom's couch for the day. When I picked her up she came home and went straight to bed. She got up around 11:00 last night and said she felt worse, so I took her temp again and she was just over 102. Ugh. So, more Motrin and she went straight back to bed. Today she'll be spending yet another day on my mom's couch. The sad part is that today is the Star Student party at her school. They have all kinds of inflatables set up in the gym and she really looks forward to it all year. She missed it last year due to being sick too, so I know she's going to be bummed that she's missing it again. I feel so bad for her!! Hopefully she'll start feeling better soon so she can enjoy her weekend!

Poor Kass, you feel so bad for them when that happens. I love reading your blog, I've been hesitant about starting my own, but finally decided I'd give it a whirl. You inspired me!
You know, at the elem. school Angela attended, they have a talent show on the last day. Angela performed last year, feeling miserable. I took her to school just in time for the show, and we left right after. She never got to say goodbye to her teachers (and it was final goodbye as she moved up to the middle school.) Then I realized the year before she was sick the whole last week, and the year before that as well. We still have 3 1/2 weeks of school left here, but she's starting to get sick. It's all very allergy-like. She had a performance with her theater group last night and her voice was croaky, and then she sneezed, rubbed her eyes, and coughed all the way home. Poor kid. Her last day of school she has a field trip, I bet she'll be miserable and not be able to go.
Oh feel better soon Kass! Poor kid.
SAD :( Hope she feels better soon!
Oh that stinks for her that she'll miss the party. I will pray that whatever bug she has, it goes away quickly.
It's so sad when your kids are sick. I just hate it!
Praying for you Kass!
GWS ((KASS))
Taylor can totally relate. After missing a week of school due to the HSP she was sent home Monday for with a 102 fever and sore throat. After taking her to the dr where she tested positive for Strep she spent Tuesday at home. She got to go to school on Wednesday but yesterday morning she had the beginnings of HSP again so she wasn't able to attend school. I sent her today b/c they had their last unit test and grades have to be turned in. Hope Kass feels better soon.
Poor thing! I hope she gets to feeling better. My little brother is feeling the same way right now. If anyone else at your house starts feeling the same way I want to know so I can send my brother away!
Oh no, poor girl. I hope she feels better soon and this doesn't turn into something more serious. Too bad you couldn't give her a little of that star treatment at home. Boy would that be fun and might help make up for her missing it two years in a row.
Oh! I hope she feels better soon! Our school's idea of fun is picking up 50 lbs. hay bales in 105 degree weather! lol :O)
I hope Kass feels better soon, have a good weekend
we hope you feel better Kassidy! I am sorry you had to miss your party! I am sure Mommy and Daddy will make it up to you...wink wink!
Hope she is feeling better. Poor Kassidy.
