All clear

Kennedy has the "all clear" from oncology once again! Praise God! We will go back again in August for her next check up. Today we said goodbye to Dr. Sisler... it was hard. I hate that she's not going to be Kennedy's doctor anymore, but I know she leaves us in good hands. Still, we love her. Can you tell?

While we were there we received the devastating news that Austin's neuroblastoma has indeed returned. We were praying hard it would be something else. Dr. Sisler already knew so she took Kennedy for a walk and gave us time to process and cry a little. *sigh* Cancer sucks. He will start chemo on Monday. It will be an 8 month course to try to get him into remission and then they will look into trials at CHOP or in NY that they don't do here at Vandy. Click on Austin's button below to go visit his page and pray for him! I know he and his family will REALLY appreciate it!

On the way home, Keeghan decided to throw a monumental fit. It was lovely. See?

He cried so hard it made him throw up all over himself... and the car. *sigh* So we had to pull over and get him out of his clothes. Since I didn't have a spare change for him, he rode the rest of the way home like this:

Which he was none too happy about. He finally fell asleep, thank goodness!

Anyway, pictures of my hair coming soon, that was a whole other fun adventure! haha I just wanted to let you know about Kennedy's appointment! For now we are getting ready to go to dinner with some friends who are here from California! We are so excited to see them! I haven't seen them since 2005 and I think it's been since 2003 for Frank, Kass and Kam! LOTS of pictures will be taken by all parties, I'm sure! I hope you're continuing to enjoy picture day on this here blog! ;)

Yeah, great news Kennedy!

Meltdowns are always lovelier in the car.Especially when it leads to a child throwing up in the car.

We will keep Austin and his family in our prayers.

Yay for Kennedy. Sorry it's turning into another up and down week for you :(. Don't you hate when they scream in the car and there's nothing you can do? CJ used to be so good about riding in the car now not so much. I guess you were lucky him throwing up on himself happened during the summer when it was warm and okay to be naked. In the first picture it looks like he was pulling on his leg. You don't think he might have been sitting on something or in some other way uncomfortable. And then on top of that just exhausted and unable to get comfortable to go to sleep do you?

Will you post if Austin goes to NY. If he is in NYC I'd really like to bring his family some food or something! Or see if I can help in any way.

Thanking the Lord for the good news!
Thankful that I can be here praying for you.
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand. The Lutheran Hymnal #370, verse 2

YAY! for Miss Kennedy

As for Mr. Keeghan truly he and Wesley were cut from the same cloth...I feel your pain. Sweet as pie, UNTIL moments like the car ride....ugh! Got to love them, their 2!!!
