Just wanted to add that doctors are now recommending that the AAI x-rays be repeated during adolescence. Hannah was clear when she was young, but now at age 11, she's borderline (5 mm). We'll x-ray her again when she's done growing. The MRI is supposedly the best way to see the gap, but since we're just borderline I'm not sure I want to go through the sedation for the MRI.
Thanks Beth for the info!! They are also suggesting to test younger than 3 in some areas too! Can't be too careful!
More on the freeway/highway/interstate debate. *ahem*
A "freeway" is a 2 or more lanes moving in the same direction at high speed that does not have controlled intersections (stop signs or stop lights) it's called a 'freeway' because you're moving freely without having to stop.
A "highway" is a 2 or more lane road (one in each direction), usually a main road, sometimes with slower speed but does have controlled intersections.
An "interstate" is a freeway that moves between multiple states.
SEE they ARE REAL!!! REAL I tell you! Leah looked it up!
Just note, she said, they are "referred to as freeways" not they ARE freeways. I'm sticking to my theory of they don't really exist and you made them up.
Yeah yeah yeah. LOL
Gee, thanks...phonezoo...there's an hour of my life I'll never get back, lol!
LOL Addicting, isn't it?!
That is great! When is your mom going to start a blog? I think we need to hear things from her point of view too!
LOL She just joined Facebook, I think she'll have to work up to blogging! :)
Did you guys go in the monument?
We didn't... it was kind of a whirlwind tour. We had a lot to see and not a lot of time. We'll have to do that next time... whenever that is!
Great outfits. It does not look like it was very crowded in DC.
It actually wasn't very crowded at all that day! That was a Sunday. I was surprised!
Renee! Way cute pictures! I noticed that you have a seperate stroller for both Kennedy and Keeghan. Have you every considered getting a double stroller? Or is there a reason that you have two strollers?
We actually have a REALLY nice (but REALLY heavy) double stroller, but usually Kennedy walks everywhere these days so we just take the one stroller for Keeghan. For things like this though where there is tons of walking we have the two strollers for when Kennedy gets tired (or we want to walk faster than she can handle). I'm thinking when Kellsey comes home we'll break the double stroller back out... and let them battle out who gets to sit in front! LOL
Love the outfits! I missed it...but when were you in DC? We were in Maryland- about 30 min from DC the last week in June!!
We were there the 28th and 29th of June! We probably passed each other on the FREEway! :)
Question: Is Kennedy's hair naturally kinda flipped under? Does that even make sense?? I really LOVE the bob look on her by the way.
Yep that is all natural! I curl her bangs, sometimes, but the rest of it just kind of dries that way. I love it! I can't wait until it's long though, too! :)
Great pictures!!! Cant get over how you always manage to find all these matching clothes!!! You must spend hours deep in thought when you clothes shop! :-)
LOL Actually sometimes it all just happens by accident! I actually bought this dress of Kassidy's last year and then I found Kennedy's dress at the same store this year and they just happened to have the coordinating shorts for the boys! They wore them again for the 4th! ;)
When did Kassidy get sooo tall? She must have really taken a growth spurt here lately! The one of Kameron at National Harbor is cracking me up!!
She and Kameron both have had a growth spurt in the last 3 or 4 months! I had to go out and buy them all new clothes! (Which neither of them complained about in the least! haha) I noticed recently too that Kameron is really thinning out in the face and starting to look like an older kid instead of a little boy. *sniff*
man that last one of Frank and Keeghan is like looking at "mini me", wow! Always enjoy seeing your family, I am surprised you guys are recognized when you are out and about! :-)
LOL Not likely... though it did happen at our local Wal-Mart once. I was walking down an aisle and heard someone whisper to her husband, "THAT'S the My Special Ks lady!" Of course my hair was tied up in a pony tail and I had no make up on! hahaha I just kept on walking. Sorry if you're reading this today! LOL
The hand sticking out of the ground is FREAKing me out!!!
If it makes you feel any better there was also a head, knee and foot somewhere else in the sand. It was King Neptune. At least that's what Kameron said. LOL
Went to DC with Drew on his 8th grade school trip and have pictures of him and his friends jumping off the hand:):) Wild Boys!! Glad you had a good trip!!!
Crazy! I didn't know National Harbor has been around that long! I bet it's changed a lot since you've been there, there are tons of restaurants and shopping, and a huge Gaylord Hotel... most of it is not even open yet. It's really pretty though. I'm glad Kameron didn't get the idea to jump off that hand, he probably would have ended up breaking a bone! LOL
