View from the air lol
OK Frank totally made this bow and arrow! This is what he did while Kassidy did the rest of the stuff... when this project comes home, he's taking this back! haha Look at the detail in this thing! (Under it you can see the detail of the sand that's covering the board. I don't want to think about how much of this is in my carpet right now...)
The Indian Chief and fire pit. See Kassidy's clay bowls? She also made the bale of hay for the bull in the background. Frank helped her form the fire pit and then Kassidy used twine to tie together the extra firewood off to the side. The fire is made of foam and the smoke is cotton which Kassidy pulled apart and formed into smoke.
Tee Pee number 1. Kassidy drew all the designs. She looked up the Sioux Tribe on the Internet to find symbols they would have used on their Tee Pees and drew similar ones. I think she did a great job!
Tee Pee number 2, more designs from Kassidy (and another arrow and holder from dad!)
This poor buffalo is about to be dinner. (See the Indian in the background with the bow and arrow?!) I joked that they were going to cook buffalo burgers over the fire, but Kassidy informed me that they probably didn't eat burgers back then. Fine. LOL
And that's life on the

wow that is totally cool. she did an awesome job and so did Frank on that bow and arrow.
She did an AMAZING job Renee!!! Frank too! (arrow holder is a quiver)
and did you know that sand has 26 distinct cutting edges? Just a PSA for your carpet! LOL!!
used to sell Kirby vacuum cleaners.
Wow, great job Kassidy!
That is so neat. She did a great job. It's something that she will always remember. Hope she gets a good grade on this.
I'd give her an A!

Kassidy!
WOW! What a FANTASTIC job you did...I am so impressed with the detail! I'd give you an A+. This may be one project you keep..especially since DAD helped! It's beautiful..you should be very proud of yourself:)

P.S. Incredible job DAD on the bow/arrow..she's so blessed to have a Dad that is interested & willing to take the time to lend assistance.Give yourself a pat on the back, you're an awesome Dad:)
I think it all looks great! Great attention to detail from Kassidy (and Frank for the arrows :) ). I hope she gets a great grade on this... she totally deserves it!
Natalie
great job by both of them. such great detail. can i borrow them when i need help lol.
Looks GREAT!
Regarding the rude comment about Frank helping. I agree with you, Renee. We need to help our kids as much as possible. There will come a day when they don't want or need our help. We need to savor every moment of their youth. We always helped our kids with school projects. In fact, many times the teacher would say it was a family project. "Involve mom and dad as much as possible". I think they try to do this because, sadly, some kids get nothing from their parents. Teacher know this folks!
That looks amazing!
I think Kassidy's project looks great and clearly Frank and had fun too :) I think it looks like an "A" project to me! I also think Frank's bow and arrow should get an "A". What a fun memory to have together.
What a great Kass did! And Frank's help was good too. She should get a really good grade. I love school projects like those.
That's amazing!!
awesome job !!!
well done Kassidy and Frank!
That came out great. And I have to say it's clear that Kassidy had a hand in it too. She did an awesome job. Our kids have never had to do any projects like this. Oh wait I take that back. In 1st grade they had to put together a box about their family. They had done a family tree and needed pictures and some of her family members favorite things. We decorated a shoe box and then put each individual persons pictures and hobbys in a bag in the box so they could show everyone what our family liked to do. It was lots of fun and the kids loved hearing stories about the family and seeing baby pictures of themselves and us ;).
Great Job Kassidy...Looks like you and your dad had lots of fun getting this together for school.
This is so cool! Kassidy is so talented. :D (and Dad too!!)
That looks wonderful! So cool!
On another note: My husband is 1/2 Lakota Sioux. So cool!
Wow, that is really neat! Great job, Kassidy!! (and Frank, too)
That is really cool and you can tell that a child did the work. Sure, Frank did the bow and arrow but thats because he is a boy...LOL!
Honestly, there is a huge difference with parents HELPING with the project vs. DOING the project. I remember when I was in 6th grade, we did a dinosaur project. My mom HELPED me with making th clay and I did the modeling. On the other hand, one boy brought in a model that had moving parts! Yea...guess who got the better grade? ME!!!! Teachers can totally tell!
Yay Kassidy! I love the cotton "smoke" idea! It definitely deserves an A.
Wow, as a former Miniaturist, I am very impressed with her detail!!!
Awesome job and great research regarding the drawings that would be on the tee pees! I LOVED the smoke, great job, I wouldn't have thought of that Kassidy at all! I'm glad you and Dad got to work on this together.
A+++ Kassidy! I love it!! Reminds me of the book I read recently called Buffalo Jump. Have you read it? Here is a link about it and keep up the good work!
