Q&A #109

This may be redundant, and I apologize if it is. Being from the area, I know there are thousands of docs in Nashville. I do realize you have a connection with Vandy, but is there not another GI doc outside of Vandy that you could see? I just hate it for you and Kennedy that you're having to go through all this crap to get her the care she needs, especially in a city that is built around docs and hospitals.
There are no other pediatric GIs in the Nashville area, unfortunately. That's the key. We are looking into other options though as we are STILL getting nowhere with Vanderbilt. *sigh*

How did the pasta dinner go? Did you get cute pictures of the kids eating the pasta for their new sister?
GCC raised a little over $800 for Kellsey's adoption!! :) We were thrilled and VERY grateful! :)

My little boy, Peter, who has DS and ALL loves Yo Gabba Gabba too. What cool little bo-bots. I haven't seen those before.
Those are a Toys-R-Us exclusive. You can get them here or in stores! Keeghan LOVES them!

I agree - the questions are pretty stupid, but it did hit mine right on...LOL..I'm just average,no self-confidence, and self-directed.
So Renee, did you answer the one about "going back to school to get away from your parents??" LOL - too funny...

NOOOO to see my friends!!! LOL It definitely wasn't to LEARN! haha

First thing you do when you get home is drop everything? Hope the kids don't mind! LOL!
LOL nah they walk in on their own, thank goodness! I just drop my keys, my phone, and the shoes off my feet! haha

What's their names? Are there more videos? Very good!
They are the Cactus Cuties. There are a TON of videos on You Tube, just do a search for them on there! :)

RENEE!!!! That's the group my cousin is in!!! Her name is Baylee!
That is SO cool! we are praying for her family!

Anyways your post made me laugh, my license expired in April, but it is a good picture with me smiling I STILL have not gotten a new one because I CANT smile, how bad is that, think the policeman would understand?
Hmmm, I'm thinking you might want to go get a new license! LOL Otherwise someone might have to come bail you out of jail! haha

I don't think TN has gotten up to speed on the smiling or not thing. Semi-smile!
Yeah, definitely not! I have a big ole goofy grin in my picture! Sheesh... maybe it WOULD be better if they told me not to smile! haha

I smile for my license and my health card (Canadian!) but we are not allowed to smile for our passports! We look like the sad family....
I just checked, I smiled for my passport too... pretty sure I was saying "cheese" in my head then too! (I know, I'm a cheese ball! LOL)

Let me know if she is close to Indianapolis... I would be more than happy to make her feel welcome!
Feel free to go visit Emily's blog! you will love it!

Oh my gosh, you have got to go read this post of mine - Poor little man!!
I DID see that!!! Something tells me they need to stop putting scary animals in restaurants! LOL

Wow, how many people were in your party?
I think about 30... We had 20 to start off with and then added about 10 more. It was SO much fun! :)

Renee, Just another Clarksville connection here...Dr Bill Evans, head of St Jude is a native of Clarksville. A graduate of CHS '68...just like ME! A fine man from a fine family!
WOW that is so cool! I had no idea!

So do you get a list of projects to choose from to do this or do you just come up with your own thing to go out and do?
Yes, I think this year we had like 40 things to choose from. The pastors always are open to suggestions though if you can't find something that suits you on the list... then they put you in charge of your own team the next year! HA!

You know, I've noticed that the older folks do seem to be more cautious and skeptical. I wonder why that is?!
Leave it to Kameron to lighten the mood right? He's quite the character isn't he?

I don't know.. years of experience maybe? Maybe because usually if something seems too good to be true, it probably is?? SO many people were like, "I don't get it!" I think they were waiting for the other shoe to drop or something. LOL Yes, Kameron, my little ray of sunshine, always making people laugh!

Aqua Blue with a splash of white. What about you?
Purple... a light pretty color of purple! Purple just makes me happy :).

What kind of pizza kits did you guys use? Did you and Frank fix you guys a pizza with everything? If so what all did u put?
Ohhh it was from a fundraiser thing from Joe Corbi's, it was SO good! We only had pepperoni to work with but we all enjoyed it! It came with 3 pizzas. Now Schwan's makes a Mexican pizza that Frank and I really like whenever they happen to have it in stock, but that comes pre-made.

Also, how in the world do you keep track of all the comments for the comment post??
I usually start the next Q&A post right after this one publishes... and I save it as a draft. When a question pops up in the comment section on my blog, it also gets emailed to me so I copy it, paste it into the Q&A post, link it to a relevant post if necessary, and answer it right away and then save the draft. Otherwise I'd NEVER keep up! LOL Some do still slip by me though, especially if I read emails from my phone... I sometimes forget to save them and then they're gone forever! Sorry folks!

I was just forwarded a copy of this video from one of my friends, watching the video ( okay more like watching as much as I could see through the tears pouring ) I immediately thought of you and how I would like to share it with you.
While I'm generally not a huge fan of Beyonce, she is a class act and this is to amazing and touching to pass up. She is singing her song "hero" to a little girl named Chelsea that is fighting leukemia.
I thought of you and all of your angels and i hope you find some comfort in this song/video

That brought tears to my eyes! Thanks so much for sharing!!
