My friend Cheri contacted me several weeks ago to let me know that she and her friends were going to be holding a benefit dinner. They do this several times a year and donate to different causes. They get together, enjoy a great meal, and pick a cause to donate to. This time they chose Reece's Rainbow and chose our family to help bring Kellsey home!! We were very touched and honored! The coolest part is that the dinner was the day after Kellsey's birthday, and we were in country so she had lots of fun information to share!
On November 7th, they held the benefit dinner. They talked about Reece's Rainbow, of course, and showed Andrea's latest slideshow. They served food that looked AMAZING,
had a poker night,
and a silent auction...
by the end of the night, Cheri's little guy Reid was worn out!
You can go here to see more amazing pictures from this night and see what they did. This is such a great thing this group of friends does!! They raised over $2,000 for our family and brought us extremely close to our goal of a totally funded adoption! We feel so blessed and are so grateful to Cheri and her friends for helping us bring Kellsey home!!! Thank you Cheri for all you do to bring awareness to Reece's Rainbow ALL the kids who so badly need their forever families to find them!

That is really amazing! I hope we can all help you to reach the rest of your goal too. I keep pushing for donations on my blog. Not sure how much it has helped, but the word is getting out there ;).
That is awesome ... I read about it on Cheri's blog last week or so ... love it!
What a fantastic gift to you! Thank you Lord for kind and generous people that help support such a great cause!
This is fantastic news!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stopping by to let you know I'm still here, still praying!
II Corinthians 12:8-10 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
