9-Year-Old Cancer Patient Gives Remarkable Gift To Friend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - This Christmas, the gift of a book forever changed the life of one mid-state girl with cancer.

The cancer center at Vanderbilt's Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital is filled with distractions, and that is by design. It has stuffed animals, Nintendo Wiis and frequent visitors.

The idea is to help children forget they are getting treatment for cancer.

For 9-year-old Bishop Mikaelian, there are plenty of things that keep her mind off chemo, and there is one thing that has prepared her for it... Read the rest of the story here.
