Keeghan decided that he wanted to take a bath with Kellsey this morning. I slightly feared for his life! LOL Still though, I decided maybe it was a good idea. She anxiously followed her brother up the stairs, but when she saw he was going into the dreaded bathroom, and she heard the water running, she freaked! Poor baby!
Keeghan jumped into the water and started splashing around. I lowered Kellsey in and Frank swept her legs out from under her so she HAD to sit down. She cried and cried and cried and Keeghan said, "She's TOO loud!" We gave her toys, Keeghan showed her how to splash and use the cup, we cheered and clapped, and then...**
Silence. She's not exactly HAPPY, but she's not screaming either. She actually gave us a hint of a smile. She may have even splashed once. She picked up the cup and poured the water out of it once. And she may have liked it... though I doubt she'd admit it. You know... if she could speak English.
THEN big mean ole mommy had to go and ruin it by washing her hair! LOL Oh well. It was progress... maybe next time she won't freak out at the sound of running water. Or maybe she will. What do I know anyway?! For the record, Keeghan doesn't like having his hair washed either!
Our mom's lunch went great! Kellsey had a lot of fun meeting all the other moms AND we found out that she LOVES fettuccine alfredo! Who would have thought?! She was a very good girl today and was full of smiles... and clean hair. :)
The other night I took Kennedy and Keeghan with me to Wal-Mart... they spotted these toothbrushes and got SO excited! "Spinney brushes," Kennedy calls them. So of course I bought them... how can I say no to kids excited about brushing their teeth?! LOL The best thing is, I think they both forgot about them after we got home, so I'm going to wrap them up and give them to them for Christmas! HA!

Right now Frank has Kass, Kam and Keeghan and they went to Post so Frank could sign back in. Tomorrow he starts work again. Kennedy and Kellsey are both napping. Weird! Kennedy's been very sleepy lately. School must be wearing her out. She has ballet class in about an hour. So I guess that's it for now! I think I will go wake Kellsey up so she will sleep tonight!
**OK apparently someone thinks it's illegal to post pictures of the kids in the bath, even though they didn't show anything bad, so pics have been removed. So imagine a picture of Kellsey in the bath... NOT crying. LOL

Brody loves the bath ,but boy does he freak out getting his hair washed ! So far baby number 5 has been the only one that doesn't do that...she still isn't thrilled however ...she just isn't screaming !
Just thought of something that might help Kellsey enjoy her bath....how about blowing bubbles while in the tub? I remember how much she loved that in the video you posted. Having bubbles in the water and actually being able to blow them while in the tub...and only while in the tub...might help her look forward to bath time! Just a thought. :-)

Well, I posted pics of O in the bath the other day from the waist up. If someone wants to say something about seeing his shoulders, oh well lol!
Renee, you are a Mommy & very appropriate in what you post. Bath-time photos are FUN. Follow your heart! I'm happy she finally "settled" enough to enjoy the bath...(even if she didn't want YOU to know!) : )
Renee, how about getting in the bath with kellsey? Sounds kind wierd but maybe just holding her skin to skin with the warm water will soothe her and make her less afraid. I used to do that all the time with my adopted son.
better safe than sorry with the pics! I read an article online about a couple who had their kids removed from the home and placed in foster care just for developing bathtime photos at Wal-mart! I think it is insane, but the world we live in is insane at times!
I agree about the bath pix - I saw the same story and it seemed extreme but really happened.I have the cutest picture of Alan naked pushing a toy vacuum - it's from the side and his leg is blocking any view but I chickened out on posting it. Sick world.
I was wondering how the bath thing was going.I'm glad Kellsey has such a sweet little brotherthat won't let her not be included.
Uh oh, I think I have bathtime photos posted on my blog. From a year ago. You know cleaning up after CJ's first birthday cake. So did blogger e-mail you and tell you to remove them? I'm bummed. I wanted to see. Not because I'm a perv., but because they are fun. Children's faces in the tub are priceless. Particularly when they are enjoying it.
oh give me a break! bath photos are fun! don't let anyone steal your fun!
I have pics of Carson in the bath. I have a couple of him signing bath while in the bath. He is sitting in his ring and you can't see anything.
Are these the same people that think saying Merry Christmas is a problem as well? Some people need to find something better to do with their time.
