Last night we put our Christmas tree up, finally! The 3 little kids loved it (and for the record, I've decided that Kennedy will alternately go between a big kid and a little kid depending on the circumstance! LOL). We have no ornaments on it yet, but they all loved looking at the lights. So far none of them have tried to pull it over, so that's a plus! LOL
Today I have been running around with my mom, so daddy was on duty with Kellsey and Keeghan. He figured out that Kellsey caves to peer pressure! LOL She saw Keeghan eating and she decided maybe she would try it too! She found out she loves french toast and yogurt. YAY! She also ate fish for lunch and loved that. For the first time since she's been home, I finally feel like she's full!
They have had a lot of fun playing today. Kellsey loves Yo Gabba Gabba and our fridge magnet thing that plays music. She and Keeghan also had fun playing with Frank today and running full force at him! haha When I came home she was all smiles and ran over and gave me a HUGE hug! Then she took my hand and walked toward the door like, "OK let's go somewhere!" HA!
Here are a few pictures from last night and this morning. Tonight we have our Christmas party for our Down syndrome support group here in town. I know all the kids are excited! We'll see what Kellsey thinks of Santa! LOL

I wonder if Kellsey isn`t thinking she moved to a different orphanage, with so many kids at your house ;)
Great to read and see that she is so happy :)))
How precious and exciting! I can't imagine what it's like seeing everything for the first time. In the pictures it looks like she has been there forever, as it should. :)
I wonder...Will I ever be able to see Kellsey and not cry with joy....I think not.
Renee I'm so happy for you!! It's so nice to see she's adjusting pretty quickly, and she's found a place in your home and in your family. God Bless you and your family Renee.
so happy to see everyone settling in :) what a joy!
Bless you Bless you for bringing that sweet precious little girl into your loving home!! It fills my heart with joy!!!!!!!
It's so neat to see Kellsey - it looks like she fits in perfectly. The picture of her looking at the camera like "Ohhh, this is cool" is so sweet
Melt my heart with the first picture...ugh, so sweet!
But seriously, peas? Fish? Cannot wait to give that girl a cheesesteak in January, lol.
how fun! I bet Kellsey is having SO much fun with all of this "new-ness!"
So glad she ate for you too- what a relief!!
I still cant believe Kellseys home, seems so unreal! She looks like she is adjusting well and loving her new family. She is one lucky little girl!
yay! i can finally comment. my lame computer was being...lame. so anyways. i just love the whole coming home story and the all the pictures. they're just precious. and it pretty much looks as if she belongs right where she's at. home. :0) congrats. and yay!! and i totally bawled. but i blame it on the pregnancy horomones. :0)
It's amazing how Kellsey's hair is the same color as the rest of the Special K's!
Wait until those ornaments go on ;). CJ can't stop touching. It's just way too tempting. I did a whole blog about it, LOL.
Sounds like Kellsey is really fitting in.
The way Kellsey is adjusting just proves that she was born to be your little girl. This is such a wonderful Christmas story. Thanks for sharing. Anna
Sweet sweet sweet! And who DOESN'T love Yo Gabba Gabba...especially when Jack Black guest stars? LOL
So glad that she is adjusting so well. But I never doubted she would. Just following the lead of her 4 siblings.
What a wonderful reality show !!
God Bless you all.
love, love seeing kellsey with her forever family getting ready for Christmas!!!
Is she not the cutest ever!I still cannot believe she is here and hasn't been here forever.Just as she was meant to be.Cannot wait to see your day to day life unfold.what an incredible blessing.
Maybe she was saying "the next time you go somewhere, can you take me with you?" I'm glad things are going so well!
Kellsey just looks so natural there with the rest of your family. Brings me such tears of joy!!
This post made me smile. : )
Your family is so blessed that she is fitting right in. I have read horror stories about orphans being adopted and are soooo traumatized by the change. She was born to be a part of your family and her features make her blend right in!! God bless you Kellsey...you are HOME!!!!
Finally..I'm back online. I've been out of sink since Sunday morning. SO HAPPY to see all the pictures. Kellsey looks so happy.
Too funny that watching Keeghan eat made her decided to eat :) Have you guys taken Kellsey out anywhere yet? Just wondering what she thought of a store, I am guessing she has never seen one before? Can't wait to hear what she thinks of Santa :)
She favors your other kids, I guess it is the dark hair and eyes. She looks very happy andwhat a great way to celebrate the holidays.
Love ALL the new pictures and updates...I could just cry I'm so happy for your family. How truly blessed you are. Much love to you ALL!!!
Wonderful post. Glad that she is following Keeghan's lead on the eating.
Beckie
God Bless you and your wonderful addition to your family!
Great pictures! I'm so glad Kellsey decided to eat today!

I am so in awe of you and your family. What you have done for Kellsey is the most amazing thing in the world. All your posts just make me smile. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. I am so inspired by you.
Have you had the opportunity to send any pictures of Kellsey to the baby home? Since she was a "house favorite", I am sure it would warm their hearts to see how happy she is now!
I love the look on her face in the last photo. It's like: Man, why is she taking MORE pictures?!
Just like any other kid when mom tries to snap too many photo's, she learns quickly!! ;)
