A tree!!

Last night we put our Christmas tree up, finally! The 3 little kids loved it (and for the record, I've decided that Kennedy will alternately go between a big kid and a little kid depending on the circumstance! LOL). We have no ornaments on it yet, but they all loved looking at the lights. So far none of them have tried to pull it over, so that's a plus! LOL

Today I have been running around with my mom, so daddy was on duty with Kellsey and Keeghan. He figured out that Kellsey caves to peer pressure! LOL She saw Keeghan eating and she decided maybe she would try it too! She found out she loves french toast and yogurt. YAY! She also ate fish for lunch and loved that. For the first time since she's been home, I finally feel like she's full!

They have had a lot of fun playing today. Kellsey loves Yo Gabba Gabba and our fridge magnet thing that plays music. She and Keeghan also had fun playing with Frank today and running full force at him! haha When I came home she was all smiles and ran over and gave me a HUGE hug! Then she took my hand and walked toward the door like, "OK let's go somewhere!" HA!

Here are a few pictures from last night and this morning. Tonight we have our Christmas party for our Down syndrome support group here in town. I know all the kids are excited! We'll see what Kellsey thinks of Santa! LOL

I wonder if Kellsey isn`t thinking she moved to a different orphanage, with so many kids at your house ;)
Great to read and see that she is so happy :)))

How precious and exciting! I can't imagine what it's like seeing everything for the first time. In the pictures it looks like she has been there forever, as it should. :)

It's amazing how Kellsey's hair is the same color as the rest of the Special K's!

Wait until those ornaments go on ;). CJ can't stop touching. It's just way too tempting. I did a whole blog about it, LOL.

Sounds like Kellsey is really fitting in.

The way Kellsey is adjusting just proves that she was born to be your little girl. This is such a wonderful Christmas story. Thanks for sharing. Anna

Maybe she was saying "the next time you go somewhere, can you take me with you?" I'm glad things are going so well!

Your family is so blessed that she is fitting right in. I have read horror stories about orphans being adopted and are soooo traumatized by the change. She was born to be a part of your family and her features make her blend right in!! God bless you Kellsey...you are HOME!!!!

Too funny that watching Keeghan eat made her decided to eat :) Have you guys taken Kellsey out anywhere yet? Just wondering what she thought of a store, I am guessing she has never seen one before? Can't wait to hear what she thinks of Santa :)

Have you had the opportunity to send any pictures of Kellsey to the baby home? Since she was a "house favorite", I am sure it would warm their hearts to see how happy she is now!

I love the look on her face in the last photo. It's like: Man, why is she taking MORE pictures?!

Just like any other kid when mom tries to snap too many photo's, she learns quickly!! ;)
