Vivienne & Laura

My friend Kate and her husband Charley are the parents of 7 beautiful children! Several of their children have special needs... I love to read Kate's blog because she handles motherhood with such grace and love! After much prayer, they have decided to commit to adopt two more children through Reece's Rainbow... Vivienne and Laura. These two precious girls will be their first with Down syndrome!

They are well on their way in their process... their homestudy is done and paid for, and they're ready to do their USCIS and fingerprint and background check stuff, but they're are still short $1,500 on their commitment fee. They were planning on fundraising this week, but their 4 year old ended up in the hospital unexpectedly waiting for a shunt replacement. His doctor is in Haiti right now so while they wait for her to return, they are stuck in the hospital.

All that to say, we are trying to reach out and help them with their commitment fee while they are there... it will be one less thing to worry about when they come home so they can move on with their process to bring their daughters home!! Can you please go visit their blog and meet this wonderful family? Every dollar helps! No amount is too small! Let's help get them to their goal!! Please lift up their little boy, Joshua, in your prayers as well that he stays safe while he waits for his surgeon to return!

Thanks for always holding the Reece's Rainbow families in your prayers!

Will do Renee!!! every little bit counts... As with the texting the red cross for haiti i felt me tiny 10$ wasnt much but by the first friday morning my 10$ was 8 million+ strong. Who knows what it is at today. DH gets paid tonight, I'll do in the AM before we lose power here.

This is Joyce. I have been praying for Vivienne for a while now. Her beautiful red hair spoke to my heart. If I wasn't too old for the process I would have wrapped myself around her. I am so happy to read she has a forever family. I will go over right now and help them out. Thanks Renee, you made my day.

I am soooo happy Kate is adopting Vivian! She was the one we were looking at too. Looks like there would have been a lot of competition! LOL! Those girls will have the greatest home, and the most wonderful siblings! Thanks for helping Kate out. :)

Renee, THANK YOU for this post! Thank you for helping us! And THANK YOU a million times over to everyone who is being so generous to donate to help our family bring Vivienne & Laura home.

I am sitting here in the hospital with tears in my eyes, completely overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers and online friends. God is so good... THANK YOU!!!!!

P.S. Our homestudy is not complete yet, but we're in the process of getting it done & it is paid for. :)

Like so many others, I have perused the RR site and had fallen in love with Vivienne, knowing full well that it wouldn't be possible for our family to take that step. I have thought of her, mentioned her to others and prayed for her. Now, tonight, I begged my husband to let me send some money for her adoption process. So thrilled that I may be able to watch her come home to her forever family and see her grow.
