Kassidy had a great time at camp! She has come home with lots of stories including a little boy who rolled down a hill into a hornet's nest... OUCH!! She was dirty and tired but had a ton of fun and immediately asked if she could go back next year. I said yes until I unpacked her dirty, stinky, wet, messy, nasty clothes! LOL It's a good thing I have a year to forget about that! haha At least she didn't get too involved in this:
Or if she did, she's not admitting it... much. LOL
Here are some pictures from camp... These first two are from our youth pastor Michael and the rest are from Kassidy's camera. She didn't take many, she must have been having too much fun! ;)
Glad she had fun and is back safe and sound! Taylor didn't get to attend camp this year and was really disappointed :( She was adamant that she not miss next year :) I could never get in the mud pit....if Taylor ever does I would prefer she just throw the clothes away!
Hi, this comment isn't at all related to your posting but I just wanted to tell you something. Today I saw a status that was going around on facebook that read "arguing with me is like doing the special olympics, you may win but you're still a r*****". After reading your blog for a while now and your comments on the r word and how offensive it is, I felt confident enough to ask one of my friends that had this as their status to remove this as their status because it was offensive. I've never used the r word myself, but I never felt confident to tell other people to stop using that word as a way to tease their friends. After reading your posting about this, I really felt like it was up to me to tell this person how offensive they were being. Thanks. -Rachel
Glad she's back! Never had a kid go to camp so don't know what that's like. Continuing to pray! Isaiah 43:1-3a: But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned ; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Welcome!
Welcome to my blog where I take on day to day life with my five amazing children: Kassidy, Kameron, Kennedy, Keeghan & Kellsey, and a husband in the Military. Join us as we face issues with Down syndrome, Leukemia, Deployments, and every day life with 5 young kids! You'll be in for the ride of your life!
Really, what can I say about ME? I'm a Christian, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, a friend.
My name is Renee, I am 32 years old, I am married to the Army... oh wait I mean I'm married to a Soldier, my hero. Same thing right? I am a misplaced Californian who lives in Colorado by way of Tennessee. I am a mini-van driving soccer mom... I always knew I would be! I am blessed to be able to stay home with my 5 amazing kids. Kassidy: my beautiful, too smart for her own good, funny, dramatic 12 year old who thinks she's already a teenager. Kameron: My high strung, incredibly intelligent, artistic, creative, silly, sometimes mysterious 10 year old comedian in training. My 7 year old diva, Kennedy: who will sometimes tell you she's Hannah Montana or iCarly or some other famous person. She's destined for the stars! Keeghan: my crazy, funny, silly, handsome 4 year old monkey who loves to ask me a million questions all day long; and our 5 year old magna doodle loving Ukrainian Princess Kellsey who's been with our family for just 2 years now. I'm so incredibly blessed.
