Praise God, Lera has found a family! If they are "compiling dossier page", how far along is that in the process? Is it far enough to assume things will go well this time? She has been in my heart for so long....I just pray that it works out for that precious girl this time!
Yes, Reece's Rainbow has implemented new guidelines where you can't commit to a child until you are homestudy approved and well into the process, this helps insure that the child WILL be going home to that family. Of course things happen and nothing is 100%, but Reece's Rainbow does everything they can to make the adoption process as easy as possible for families AND get the children home quickly!
I was wondering if sometime you could post a list of the apps your children use to learn. Thanks :)
I have some listed right here. I will get back to my App of the Week soon and post more. I have lots of new ones to talk about! :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! She is so beautiful - what a fun memory and great pics. I am curious - what does Frank think of these pics of his little girl???
I wore my mom's veil to my wedding and it was so special!
LOL He just melts over all his girls! I don't see him letting them get married any time soon though! ;)
She looks just like Kassidy! I'm curious, has Kellsey picked up on the dress-up thing yet?
She wears dresses sometimes, but she pulls her diapers off so she sticks to shorts and capris mostly. She has no interest in playing dress up like Kennedy does. She's definitely not a girly girl!
As jealous as I was that you were out so early, I would be in tears if we were going back tomorrow...we have a month and two days left! We are having such an awesome summer I will be totally bummed to see them go off to school next month! For the first time ever, lol.
I know! I was SO excited to be out in May... not so excited now! LOL I'll be excited again in May though when you all have a month of school left and we're out!
Why does school start so early? My kids go back in September after labour day. Just curious. Sounds like you will have a busy year!
We get out early too... Mid-May... it's always been this way here.
This is Kassidy's last year there isn't it?
Yep! Next year it's off to middle school. *sniff*
Did you have them wearing the same color on purpose the first day of school? How did the little ones, especially Kennedy, handle them going off to school without them? Is Kassidy excited that she's the oldest grade in the school now? Lots of responsibility there. They set the tone for the whole school ;).
No! LOL They chose their own clothes, just happened to be similar colors. :) Keeghan did fine with them going to school. Kellsey was at school all day too so she didn't even notice... Kennedy, well... she did mostly ok. It's going to be an adjustment. Kassidy IS excited to be a 5th grader!!! I remember that feeling, being the oldest on campus... next year it's back to the bottom of the barrel for her. LOL
Oh Renee, where did you get those? We are homeschooling kindergarten too, and it would be great to keep all our stuff in one place. Share the link!
I got them here. There are a TON of different desks for children at great prices! :)
Adorable! There are many schools that sell used desks so if they ever outgrow these it is MUCH cheaper to go with a used one. :-)
Somehow I doubt the schools around here will be doing me any favors any time soon ;). Besides, most of the younger grades around here use tables, not desks. I wanted something that looked really nice anyway, since they're in my living room. :)

I don't know who made the cheap desk comment, etc. But I do know this. You ARE in the military and you have everything new and perfect and your children have VERY expensive toys, etc. I don't know how you do it. But I try to use our funds wisely so we can save money and we have no credit cards. I doubt that can be said about you.
wish I got in before your Q&A.
would love to know all about Kellsey how she is going, bonding, school how did she go with the seperation, anything else about her what she likes to play, how she is with the kids...
thanks
I was just wondering how common is it for adults with DS to get married in your neck of the woods? Here it is highly uncommon, unfortunately, but in Germany I attended a wedding of a young couple, both with DS.
I am sorry that some people feel the need to leave negative comments about your family. I am in awe of all that you do for your children and you have the most adorable family I have ever seen. I pray that this person that leaves the comments about your credit card debt/Ipod purchase will have peace in their own lives and I feel really sorry for them. Maybe they don't have such an adorable family and maybe they are jealous that they aren't as "hands on" as you. I don't know why someone does such spiteful and silly things, (or maybe it is just a kid that is jealous-who knows?), but I am impressed with the way you handle these comments. I am an avid follower of your blog and not once have I ever thought about your possible debt or that your children are spoiled. Just shows you where some peoples hearts and minds are. Keep up the good work with the family and with the blog!

It's always so strange that we still have some of our 1999 "babies" not going into middle school this year ;). Natalie's in the bottom of the barrel this year when she starts. While she's nervous about it and says she already hates it (summer reading assignment that she's not happy about) I think she will begin to realize that she was just really outgrowing that school. It will be such a fun year for her this year though. Here they really lean on the 5th graders and give them lots of special privledges.
So here's some questions for your next Q&A I was thinking of this morning ;). Did you move Kellsey into the bedroom with the girls yet? Is she sleeping better for you at night now? It is hard to believe sometimes how long she has been with you and how much she has changed from the picture you have in the button for Bringing home Kellsey.
Dear Anonymous,
I think you would be a lot happier if you would spread some joy and stop being so hard on others people. If you are judging others this harshly, is it because you judge yourself this harshly as well? Or is it because you feel better about yourself when you put others down? Think about this and try and be more positive about the world in general. Making assumptions never turns out very well and people get hurt in the long run. I am praying for you and hope that you have a change of heart and begin to see things in a more positive light!!
