wish I got in before your Q&A. would love to know all about Kellsey how she is going, bonding, school how did she go with the seperation, anything else about her what she likes to play, how she is with the kids...
I've answered some questions in my previous Q&As about her too, but Kellsey is doing ok, better in some areas than others. She seems to love school, still is not talking much, but is going to speech therapy every week. She loves to look at books, play ball, play with her magna doodle, and play with any toys that play music or light up. Kellsey loves the kids, Kassidy is still her favorite (which she will brag about any chance she gets! haha). She and Keeghan will get into little tiffs like any three year olds will, usually over sharing toys, but they also will play together well and love to laugh together. She plays well with Kennedy and Kameron, too. Can't wait until she starts talking so we know what's going on in that little head of hers! :)
So here's some questions for your next Q&A I was thinking of this morning ;). Did you move Kellsey into the bedroom with the girls yet? Is she sleeping better for you at night now? It is hard to believe sometimes how long she has been with you and how much she has changed from the picture you have in the button for Bringing home Kellsey.
No, Kellsey won't sleep unless she is completely alone... which is very ironic coming from an orphanage! She DOES sleep all night now though which is very nice. :) I'm not sure when I'll move her down with the girls, for now we have no plans to move her.
I was just wondering how common is it for adults with DS to get married in your neck of the woods? Here it is highly uncommon, unfortunately, but in Germany I attended a wedding of a young couple, both with DS.
I don't have an actual statistics, but I seem to hear of at least 3 or 4 weddings a year and of course there has to be more I don't hear about. Still uncommon, but it does happen. I have not attended a wedding where the couple has Down syndrome yet, but I hope to one day... hopefully one of those being Kennedy's and/or Kellsey's!
Honestly, though, you SHOULD have at least ONE card in case of emergency, lol :o)
What?! You mean I can't use my Children's Place card in case of emergency?! LOL Just kidding! Actually we have talked about that before. It's very hard to rent a car without a credit card. We just have never followed through and actually gotten one. It's on our "to-do" list!
Since the military was brought up I have a question. I obviously know why my family has chosen to live and shop on post where we are stationed. I was curious why your family has chosen to live and shop off post? It's obviously none of my business so if you don't want to answer that's fine!
Really, it's just personal preference... Frank wanted to leave work and leave work. We live somewhat far from post and it doesn't really make sense gas wise (or time wise) for me to drive there to shop. Some of my friends that live near me do shop there, I just don't... the last time I was on post was in March when I took Frank to leave for Afghanistan. It works for us. :)
Now I want to know (as a fellow military spouse) where is it that we go to get everything that is "new and perfect" issued to us? LOL! :O)
I still haven't figured that one out. I must have missed that FRG meeting! LOL
Oh my goodness these are adorable! If you don't mind me asking, where did you find them? I would love to get one of these for Mabry. We are already talking about homeschooling her when she gets older and one of these would be perfect! Did they come with little matching chairs?
You can find the desk here. The chair was included! It really is a great deal and is big enough to last for several years! :)
Cute!! I can't believe they have already started school! We don't start until the 23rd of August. when do they get out for the summer?
We get out in Mid-May, which is pretty early. It's awesome in May... not so awesome in August! LOL
I hope Kassidy's parent meeting goes okay. 2nd day of school and the teacher wants to meet with you already? I'm going to assume it's just one of those here's what we're doing this year kind of meetings and nothing bad already ;).
Yes it was for all the parents, just an overview of what to expect for the year. I actually really like these meetings... it answers a lot of my questions before I have to ask them! :)
Um, you get in the line to get Kass and Kam at WHAT time? lol
Umm what? I'm sorry... can you repeat that question? LOL
So...I think I missed it...are you homeschooling Kennedy?
Yes... you can read about that here.

I use a pre-paid visa from walmart and it works great without any of the problems of a credit card!
I love your blog and your kids' names. How did you pick them? DId you start out with having a pattern for all their names or did it just happen? Sorry if this is a repeat(i.e. it's been asked and answered).
