She's such a drama queen!! :)
whilst I remember - did you ever get to the bottom of her awful Diarrhoea??
YES!!! :) Her GI doctor put her on a daily dose (3 tsp a day) of children's pepto (aspirin free). She was on an 8 week course, but when it ended, her diarrhea returned with a vengeance, so they put her on another 8 week course. After that... it never came back! She's been fine ever since! :) It's been wonderful!
can she wear that dress everyday? it is so cute on her!
I am sure it will be a common occurrence around here! :)
i follow you on facebook and im wondering if you won the little caesar's costume contest?? the costumes were adorable! sooo how much halloween candy have your kids consumed? have they ate it all yet? :)
Yes! We did! Thank you to all my FB friends who voted!!! We got a free pizza, crazy bread and sauce and 2 liter soda which we will redeem soon! :) The kids each get one piece of candy a night IF they eat their dinner... but I've been hoarding it (not eating it lol) because Kennedy and I are using it this week for math! LOL We're doing sorting, graphing and counting! :)
I have a question about Ds life expectancy....I know it is about 50 to 60, but why? I understand that people with ds often have leukemia, heart problems, and thryroid problems, but if those are in check, why is the life expectancy still so low? Is it because of the high chance of Alheimers? And if a person with ds does not have alzheimers, would there life expectancy be the same as a typical person's?
Well, when you figure that about 50% of people with Down syndrome have heart problems, that greatly affects the overall average of life expectancy. Alzheimer's definitely is another big factor. However, I have read several newspaper articles and such about people with Ds living into their 70's and beyond. The fact that that makes the news though, tells you that it's somewhat rare. This is all just my speculation of course. I think that there are just so many different health issues that come into play at any time that life expectancy is shortened... although, you know what they say... expect the unexpected! :)
I am so glad he made it home in time. What a great surprise. Did you know in the morning when you told Kam that he might not make it that he would actually be there?
I did know! ;) I just wanted to surprise them! It worked!!
These are so cute! And so precious! Made me tear up! And....is it just me, but does Frank remind you of George Lopez, in a very good way? So glad to see he's home! Enjoy!
LOL Yes, he's heard that a few times! ;) I told him he should dress up as George next year for Halloween! haha
Oh, and this question is for Frank. So, Frank.. what did you think when you saw Renee for the first time in months. Or did you mistake her for a model?
He said... he doesn't know how to answer that. LOL!
ps. Renee i think you forgot one very special pic - the proud mommy and daddy!! ;)
I know! I promise we will get some together before he leaves! :)
so i know she didnt get a cell phone, but what did Kassidy get for her birthday? also, when is Kellsey's birthday? just wondering...:)
LOL no, she did not get a cell phone! She got a board game from Frank and me; new jammies and a wall clock and some money from my mom, and money from my grandmother. Her main present from me and Frank is coming tomorrow. :) More on that later. We are also taking her and Kameron and a few of their friends to the movies later this afternoon. :) Kellsey's birthday is tomorrow. Birthday week is not over yet!!

Renee, considering that I have had chronic diarrhea after my gastric bypass and gall bladder removal, I'm desperate enough to try about anything....so I'm curious about the pepto. Does it have to be aspirin free to make a difference with the diarrhea or is that just because they don't want kids or Kennedy to have aspirin? Thanks!
I love your question and answer segment. You always seem to remember which questions to answer.
I am so glad that Frank made it home. All of the kids including Kellsey looked like they were excited to see him. I know you do not know if Kellsey actually recognized him but from the pictures I would say she did somewhat.
I cannot wait to see what Kassidy and Kameron got for their birthday. I know one time someone said mean things but do not let them stop you from sharing. I love following your family for I feel like I am apart of your family. It is so cool!
Also I wonder what Kellsey will think about Birthdays? I thought you already had party for her but maybe I am mistaking. LOL!!
Tell Frank congratulations on being home. Also he should have answered the question about first time seeing you with "She was just very beautiful!" LOL!!That might have helped him out later that night. LOL!! JKing!
Love,
Sheila
Katie told me that Frank looked like George Lopez the first time we met him!
