I think I need a little light humor. Hope this makes you smile like it did me. :)
So, DO dogs go to Heaven? It's an age old debate and these two churches that happen to be across the street from one another used a very unique way to battle it out.
I won't get into a theological debate but the Bible makes it clear that animals do NOT have a soul. When they die, they die and that's it. Dogs are not like humans who have a soul and can make a choice to accept Jesus as their Savior to insure they are heavenbound.
I think that if this exchange actually took place, it's sad, not funny. Two churches sniping at each other over the idea of pets in heaven? Not a great testimony to the people driving by. And if we're all one body in Christ, then this kind of behavior is foolish.
I told my sister that, when we were little, I shared the Gospel with our dog "Just in case" dogs could go to heaven. She exclaimed, "You too? I did the same thing!" So, if dogs can go to heaven, look for a little Sheltie there named Lassie!
I think it's photoshopped. The backgrounds, lighting, and reflection are the same in each picture. In the Catholic church sign pictures, you can see the exact same cars in the exact same places to the left of the sign in the background. However, I still find it hilarious!
If dogs don't go to heaven why did God bother with the ark? Just a thought. Also, if I wasn't already raised Catholic I would have converted. I mean, how many other religions give you a free dog soul for converting? Bonus!
I am sitting here literally watching my poor sweet little (big black lab)baby who is very sick right now and probably not going to make it much longer. Personally I think these 2 Churches are out of line and will offend lots of people. I am not Catholic but I believe with it that ALL DOGS go to Heaven. I know when I go that I will be hoping to be with my sweet baby then.
Any other time I would not take offense to this at all but of course in the situation I am in now it just touches my heart a little to much. Sorry, maybe I should have kept my trap shut.
If any of you pray please pray for my sweet baby to get better or at least not suffer for long.
How apropriate. My first and most likely last dog passed away yesterday. And just like fleas, ecoli and ringworms, she is not in heaven. Animals do have a soul, but not a divine sould like humans. We are, however, required to treat them with respect and take care of their needs before our own, like feeding them before we sit down to eat. It has nothing to do with the Ark: the ark (primarily because I don't think it happened as described) was to maintain an ecosystem.
My mom told me when I was little that dogs made her happy and heaven was a happy place. Not sure as an adult I truly believe that, but it will be such a great place I'm sure the pups won't be missed if they aren't there. :)
Continuing to pray! Psalms 28:1-2 Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. Prayer Bears My email address
I like to think that heavenly father made everything good, so we will all be together again someday. it would be sad if our childhood dog wasnt there with us.

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog where I take on day to day life with my five amazing children: Kassidy, Kameron, Kennedy, Keeghan & Kellsey, and a husband in the Military. Join us as we face issues with Down syndrome, Leukemia, Deployments, and every day life with 5 young kids! You'll be in for the ride of your life!
Really, what can I say about ME? I'm a Christian, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, a friend.
My name is Renee, I am 32 years old, I am married to the Army... oh wait I mean I'm married to a Soldier, my hero. Same thing right? I am a misplaced Californian who lives in Colorado by way of Tennessee. I am a mini-van driving soccer mom... I always knew I would be! I am blessed to be able to stay home with my 5 amazing kids. Kassidy: my beautiful, too smart for her own good, funny, dramatic 12 year old who thinks she's already a teenager. Kameron: My high strung, incredibly intelligent, artistic, creative, silly, sometimes mysterious 10 year old comedian in training. My 7 year old diva, Kennedy: who will sometimes tell you she's Hannah Montana or iCarly or some other famous person. She's destined for the stars! Keeghan: my crazy, funny, silly, handsome 4 year old monkey who loves to ask me a million questions all day long; and our 5 year old magna doodle loving Ukrainian Princess Kellsey who's been with our family for just 2 years now. I'm so incredibly blessed.

How funny!
I think All Dogs Go To Heaven!
LOL! I needed that. Thanks for posting!
Haha, and um, my dog has a soul and so does my pet rooster. He is a little love bug.
I think it's cute! But how long did this take place? How funny that they just kept going back and forth!
I think animals have a special place b/c God did create them. I don't know if they have souls or not, but God is in control & I have no idea! LOL
Now...rocks?? It does say even the rocks will cry out and praise Him! (Cry out? Did that off the top of my head! LOL)
That was really too funny.. My mom always said If there aren't any cats or dogs in Heaven then how can you call it Heaven...
I don't know... I would love to think I will see my ol' doggie and kitty again someday!

I don't want to go to a heaven without dogs and all the other animals. They're Gd's creatures too.

If dogs don't go to Heaven, I want to go wherever they do.
As cute as this was, I just had to see if it was for real. This is what I found:
