The home part of this project was to make a habitat for his wild animal. And, since it's due tomorrow, Frank and I set out to get the stuff Kameron requested from Hobby Lobby today. We're efficient like that. *ahem*
I love Hobby Lobby. I love the people who work there, because they took Kameron's list and just found us so much better stuff. Kam was thrilled when he came home and we laid it all out for him. Then Frank found a box in the garage, Kam raided his animal bucket, and he got to work...
Cutting...
Gluing...
Carefully placing the floor of the rainforest
This was a hula skirt...
Not anymore!
Cutting out the river (because what's a rainforest without water?)
Hanging vines (aka pipe cleaners which I will be finding the remainders of all over my floor forever!)
Shaping the waterfall and adding foam
Perfect!
Time to place the rocks and creatures...
The final product!!!
So the question is...
Well? Can you?

He did a great job ;). Your kids sure do have to do a lot of projects. I haven't really had to do any projects like that with my kids that I can remember. I know this year Kaitlyn's teacher was telling me about some project they were working on, but he was mostly doing it with them in class because they don't want to send it home for the parents to have to try to figure out what to do ;). I thought gee isn't that nice of them. Although, in all honesty a little Science fair project just might be fun.
Oh and I think the chameleon is on the ground, or maybe that's just a lizard. He's probably hiding too well for me to see ;). I hope you didn't lose him, lol.
This looks AWESOME!!! Great job Kameron!
Wow! That turned out so great!!! And he did it himself! Nice job . . . and no, I can't find the chameleon :)
You let him use glue where there's carpet?!
I do believe that's the best looking rainforest I've ever seen!
Know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers!
Isaiah 41:10, 13 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (13) For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

I looked and looked and can't find the chameleon. Where is it?
Tell Kameron that I thought he did the most amazing job. I am truely impressed!

He did a great job! I too love Hobby Lobby! I am not a huge fan of school projects either but I love helping the kids with these type of things. Taylor is got a huge project due May 10 that has had like a million steps...she did a scrapbook about my dad's military life, recorded an interview with him, and created a brochure with the biographies of 2 WWII heroes. She has done most of the work..I did have to help with the brochure though as that was something new but the scrapbook and interview she did on her own. And to think this is just 5th grade stuff.
As my teenager would say, "That is wicked awesome!" :) I have to admit, I could not find the chameleon.
come on renee you know you did the project and made him pose like he was LOL...couldnt resist
nice job kameron best rainforest ever!
oh my gosh, that is AWESOME! great project.
Great job, Kameron! You get an A+ in my grade book!
