Oncology and Hair Cuts...

Kennedy had a check up with oncology today and her counts were absolutely normal! YAY! When her doctor, Maggie, asked how she was doing, Kennedy said, "I'm perfect!" And that she is! :) Maggie said she looks wonderful. :) Kennedy had a great time talking to all her favorite nurses in the clinic and really, we were saying goodbye because that was our last visit to the Vanderbilt Oncology Clinic. She only goes every 4 months right now which means that her next check up will be in August at Denver Children's Hospital.

Thankfully one of the doctors who used to work at Vandy is now in Denver so Maggie is going to call her and get us all set up over there. While I hate childhood cancer and I hate that Kennedy had it, I love the oncology clinic at Vandy. Everyone there has been so wonderful to us and we always feel so at home there. We've made so many good friends with the doctors and nurses and can't thank them enough for all they have done for our daughter. They just marveled today over how far Kennedy has come and how big she is and how long her hair is! They really have seen her grow up! Keeghan was with us too, and a lot of them have known him since before he was born! The first time we walked into that clinic, I waddled in! haha

If anyone from hemonc is reading this, thank you all so much! (And "thank you" just doesn't seem adequate enough...) We love you guys, and we'll miss you! We'll keep in touch, of course! :)

Anyway, after we left Nashville, we came back to town and picked up all the other kids and headed over to my hair dresser to get hair cuts for all the kids. They all needed them, and they all did great, as usual!! Here are some pictures...

Keeghan getting his hair cut... (and me in the mirror lol)

Look how long it was! LOL Shaggy!

Much better!!!

Kennedy getting a trim... silly girl wouldn't sit still!

FINE I'll stop moving... maybe!

All trimmed up! :)

Kellsey during...

And after... YAY! :) SO cute!!!!

Look how long Kass' hair is! She won't let me DO anything to it anymore so I wanted her to have some kind of style at least...

Chop, chop!

This was here at home obviously, after her shower! I think it looks so cute!! :)

I know Kameron is missing, but he just got a quick buzz and I was busy talking and forgot to snap a picture! Sorry, Kam! :) I will get one of him in the next couple days before it all grows back, promise!!! More tomorrow!!

Yay on great counts for Kennedy. I know that is a huge relief for you. So three more checkups with perfect counts and that's it she's Cancer free :).

And the hair is all so cute. We're going to the hairdresser on Thursday and I think Natalie will have a whole new look. She wants Miley Cyrus, but I think that's going to be too much styling so we'll see what the hairdresser recommends for her hair. Kaitlyn wants to go short. She hates brushing her hair. And well, I need to talk to the hairdresser about Kaitlyn. It never fails this kid always manages to cut some portion of her hair. Usually it's underneath and not in a noticeable place, but this time she did it right up front and she chopped it to the scalp. So I need to find out if going back to a bang would hide it better or no bang and just parting her hair differently is what we'll need to do. And then there's Mr. CJ who has hardly any hair. It's so thin. So I want to see what we can do to make him look more his age because I think his hair makes him look younger because he has hardly any hair. So we'll see what our hair cuts will bring :). Hopefully we have a good experience like you ;).

Woohoo for great check-ups!
All the kids' haircuts look great but I think my favorite is mr. Keeghan! He's SUCH. A. DOLL! They all are though! =)

Oooh, you'll be in CO in August? I think that is when the Buddy Walk in the Springs is. Hopefully we get to meet you all then!

YaY for the count for Kennedy.
The haircuts look really good. I noticed in pictures that Kelsey seems to be smiling so much more.
