Kellsey had her
post op sleep study last night to see how her apnea is doing now that her tonsils and adenoids are gone. Her ENT said that he doesn't think it's going to improve much since she has Central Sleep Apnea and not Obstructive Sleep Apnea, but before they can talk about "what's next", they have to do a post op sleep study to make sure nothing has changed since surgery. We, of course, do not have any results yet, but we go back to ENT and Pulmonology on June 7th, so we will get the results then. Here are a few pictures while she was getting all hooked up... thankfully she didn't seem to
mind it again!
Before...
Here they go again sticking crazy things on me...
Not too sure how I feel about this...
They came in the room about every 45 minutes last night so we are both exhausted today! Kellsey is crashed out in her bed and I am about to take a nap myself! They really should call them
non-sleep studies... seriously! More later...

Wow she was all hooked up I don't know how she feels about that but I think I would freakout... that is alot of wires and and things in the nose can't tell about the mouth but I wouldn't get any rest with all that stuff hooked up to me.

Ugh, they make you wait almost two months for the results? That would drive me crazy, lol. They didn't give you any indication that maybe all looks the same or anything? Well, I hope you can get some much needed rest. Glad she's such a trooper with it all and doesn't try to take all those wires off.
I agree, they should call them non-sleep studies. Henry had one last month, and while he didn't seem to mind all the wires and glue I was cringing inside. Our tech only came in to untangle him, but that still seemed to be every hour, not to mention getting up and having to pee all night.
We only had to wait a few days for our results. Maybe because ours was ordered by the SLP in prep for the cleft palate team. The results were sent to his ENT and we still haven't heard from him. I sure hope you hear something before June. Kellsey's a trooper. Glad she's getting some rest now.
Oh LORD!!! Is this worse than last time cause I don't remember all that stuff over her mouth? Oh please Dear Lord I hope Noah doesn't have to do this. Bless her heart, she is my hero because Noah would have had that stuff pitched over on the other side of the room, growling and moaning like a gorilla. I'm not kidding. He freaks out at bandaides, like they burn his skin off or something. She is such a trooper!!!
Can't believe they expect anybody, especially a child that really doesn't understand,to sleep with all that stuff hooked up. How can she even breath? She is really a trooper to put up with all that jazz! Hope the results are well worth it. Now,Renee, how are you supposed to sleep for the next 2 months wondering and worrying while waiting for the results? Amazing!!
We had Max's first sleep study last night. Seriously, with all the tangles and fixes, I really doubt he even fell into a deep enough sleep to get proper results!
