The Stomach Bug

Some crazy stomach virus has invaded Colorado Springs. It hit Kameron first, weekend before last. He woke up, said his stomach hurt, and proceeded to throw up the rest of the day. By that night he was fine and I held my breath waiting for the next child to get it.

And for 3 days all was well.

Then Kassidy called from school and said she wasn't feeling well, and sure enough, she was out for two days. I was getting really nervous as we inched closer and closer to Kennedy's dance recital.

We washed hands. We Cloroxed. We sanitized. We isolated.

And for 2 two days all was well.

Then on Thursday morning, Keeghan woke up complaining of a stomachache. He had a doctor's appointment that day with a specialist that we've been waiting to see since August. I tried to convince him that he didn't have a stomachache.

It didn't work.

And in true Keeghan style, when he gets sick, he does a good job of it.

We finally got him on the mend...

And for two days all was well.

Then last night at dinner, Kennedy started whining, "My tummy hurts."

Hmm. No fever. So we finished up dinner, I read her a story, put her to bed,

And a few minutes later...

She threw up all the way down our stairs.

Awesome.

And so as Kennedy and I spent all night awake, her throwing up and me holding her head for her, I just thought, "Well... at least we made it through recital."

This afternoon she's feeling a bit better...

There are 3 more people in our family who have not been affected by this awful bug.

And in 2 days we drive to Tennessee.

Will all be well?

Here's hoping.

Since Kellsey has an immune system of steel I'm guessing if anyone it's going to be you or Frank which really should make a drive to TN interesting. Hopefully it has completely run its course though and the rest of you miss it or it doesn't cycle back to the kids. Did you end up missing Keeghan's appointment with the specialist because he got sick? Was that supposed to be for his leg pain?

Ugh! The stomach bug is making the rounds here and I am trying to be super sanitary until after the Christmas Concert at least.... I can hope we will be spared, right?
Here's hoping you're all done!

Oh no! So sorry that nasty bug is making it's way through your family :( Maybe Kellsey won't since she seems to be immune to the germs the other kids bring in :) Hope you and Frank stay well too and can enjoy your trip to TN...wish we could make it to that end of the state and see y'all, sadly though we still have school next week (we don't get out until Thursday).

Praying in Seattle!
Psalms 32:6-7 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Oh no, that's the worst! Are you still using the Oscillo remedy? Keep up with it, I swear it works!

You're not alone! A lot of my friends are having the same problem!
Whatever lies ahead, the Lord is with you! Praying!
Psalms 32:8, 10-11 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (10-11) Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
