Dangers of Button Cell Batteries
Kellsey and I were on our local news this morning talking about the dangers of button cell batteries. I hope this helps local families become aware of the dangers that could be lurking in their own homes. Here's a video of our clip. A huge thanks to KOAA, Jen Horbelt, and Dr. Kurbegov, Kellsey's GI, for helping spread awareness!

wow thank you for raising such awareness...I have told qutie a few people about your story and they were thankful and had their eyes opened like so many of us. She looks like she is doing well, she is such a cutie.

This gave me chills through the whole thing. I'm so glad you got to tell your story, and am sure you will open a LOT of eyes to these dangers. Musical greeting cards...who knew? Those things we take for granted as just existing. Glad Kellsey's doing better!! She's such a little cutie!

I got up this am, turned on the TV and put on channel 5 as always and poof, I saw them doing a story on a "local little girl and mother about batteries' and I just thought way to go. thank you for getting it out there. its sad, but i know a lot of people don't think of this kind of thing, i know i didn't until i read your story, its sad but true. now i watch everything that comes in our door.

Thanks for sharing this and being open about the whole issue. I only knew how dangerous these things were because a pedoaudiologist pointed it out when my son got his first hearing aids.
