Kennedy and Keeghan's Birthday Party

Today was Kennedy and Keeghan's birthday party... a little bit after the fact. We've all been so busy with dance and soccer and school and other things that today was literally the ONLY day in May we had open for a party! We had it at their dance studio (because we practically live there anyway! haha) and Ms. Debi set the whole party up! All I did was pick a theme and give her a guest list and she did everything else... best party ever! :)

Kennedy is looking so grown up now. Looks like a great party, especially when someone else did all the work for you ;).

My youngest grandson's birthday party was today, too! Not sure I survived!
Such words of comfort! Praying hard!
Job 19:25-27 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Happy (belated) Birthday to Beautiful Kennedy and that oh so, Handsome Keeghan! Unreal, how they've grown! I've been following since Kennedy was a teeny-tint 2 year old. Started out with CarePages and then came here. They are ALL so special and you have every reason to be a proud Mommy!

As I was reading Keeghan's birthday post, I noticed that Kellsey had a baggie in her hands. Was she eating mini marshmallows? Oh, I don't like to write anything negative, but please be aware of how she chews them. I know she's older and probably does fine with eating, but if there are any swallowing issue with Kellsey, then I want to make you aware of the dangers of marshmallows and choking. I took care of a 3 year old girl in PICU, who choked on marshmallows. Her parents would take them to church services and they called them "quiet candy". She could chew them and not disturb others. Sadly, she did choke on them. Marshmallows can NOT be dislodged with the Hiemilich (sp?) Maneuver. They were not able to get them out of her throat with their fingers. EMTS were called and even with aggressive suctioning, they were not able to clear her airway. They did an emergency trach at the ER, but she had irreversible brain damage. She was removed from the breathing machine 3 days later. I share this ONLY because there is not enough education on the dangers. Just like the batteries, it's not something we even would think about.
You know your Kellsey and I don't. But, if one parent reads this and becomes aware of the dangers, it may save a child and their family from much heartache.
I hope this is not too negative to you. It truly comes from a heart that loves children. Hugs ~ Jo

Continuing to pray!
Psalms 130:1-2, 5-7 Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications (5-7) I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

Stopping by to let you know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers!
Psalms 91:1-2, 4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Whatever the Lord allows to happen in your life, He'll get you through! Praying right now!
Psalms 91:9-12 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Just a question...I work in a jewelry store and I remember when Kellsey had her ears pierced. Does Kennedy have hers done too? When did she and Kassidy have theirs done? And did Kellsey let you keep hers in? I know we have a LOT of parents of young kids complaining that kids yank the earrings out...not sure if your girls ever did?
