"Suspicious"

While we were in California in the midst of all our playing and fun times, Kassidy kept coming up to me and asking me to scratch her back. I'm used to this with Frank... he asks me to scratch his back all the time. The first few times I didn't think anything of it, but after a few days of her repeatedly asking me to scratch in the same spot, I got curious. "WHY does it itch?" So I lifted her shirt and found... a mole. It was quite large and seemed to have popped up out of nowhere. I asked her how long it's been there, but obviously with it being on her back she had no idea. All she knew was that it itched like crazy.

So, me being me, I started searching on Google. I should know better. Google gives the worst case scenarios always and tries to convince you that you're DYING. LOL I turned off my phone and made an appointment with Kass' pediatrician for right after we got home - just to be safe.

Kassidy's ped said, "it could be suspicious". It popped up so suddenly and he pointed out the jagged edges... the fact that it itches doesn't help either. He referred her to dermatology. She had that appointment this morning and they decided to do a biopsy because they agreed it was "suspicious".

But it could be nothing. It could be just one of those things. We are praying hard it's just one of those things. We get 7-10 days to pray about it before we hear any results, so I figured since there are a bunch of prayer warriors out there, I'll ask you to pray too.

"Suspicious". Not a fun word for sure. Hopefully that's as far as it will ever go. Thank you in advance for your prayers for my big girl.

oh renee do you all ever just have a moment of nothing-ness? Praying everything is fine, so glad you found it when you did though.

I was thinking the same thing as my family just commented. I truly hope it is nothing but just an itchy mole.

Prayers for all.. I just don't understand the long wait time.. Dr shows on TV manage to not only diagnois but operate and get you home in less than an hour.. 7-10 days is just too long..

I'm so sorry that your life never seems to get to be boring! I hope it is nothing, and that Kassidy heals well and doesn't worry too much about the results.

I had a suspicious mole removed from my back when I was about 10. It turned out to be perfectly harmless, hope that's the result you get as well.

Ugh, just what you needed, right? Well, hopefully this turns into something you can tease her about and say I always knew you were a suspicious character or something ;).

Lifting up prayers right now!
Psalms 118:4-6 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
