After following my blog and a lot of prayer, Lindsay and Erik decided to adopt a little boy with Down syndrome from Eastern Europe. In October 2012, they committed to adopt "Declan" from the Reece's Rainbow website. Sadly, in December, Declan's little body gave out and he went home to be with Jesus. Lindsay and Erik were devastated, but they continued to get their paperwork done and see where God led them. Finally, they found Pacey, another little guy with Down syndrome in Eastern Europe. The committed to him recently, but since they are so far ahead of the game in paperwork they found themselves ready to travel soon but without the funds to do so.
Now they're in a desperate race to raise money so they can get to their little boy. Like us, they are a single income military family and have sold everything that's not nailed down to the floor. They have cleared their savings and are pinching pennies, like most Reece's Rainbow families do... and now they are reaching out for help.
Lindsay and Erik have a blog with a giveaway going on right now. You can find all the details here: Living Out Love or if you'd like a tax deductible donation, you can donate to their FSP here: Pacey for the Williams Family. I know times are tough for everyone right now, but what better cause is out there than helping to bring a little boy home? We know from experience that every dollar counts. If you can't donate right now, please be praying for the Williams family as they bring their son and brother home and be praying for Pacey as he learns to be part of a family... pray that he will let them love him like he so deserves!
