I don't understand why people feel the need to bash someone who opens up about an issue with an adopted child over a biological child. That's so silly to me. If I complain about my biological preteen mood swings it's okay, but if I said the same thing about an adopted child it somehow means I don't love her? People need to lay off so others won't be so afraid to open up about life with an adopted child so maybe those that are on the fence might think a little harder which might prevent things like the mother who shipped her son back to Russia :(.

Hang in there. So glad to know that there are others out there for you to lean on. I find it hard to believe that people would bash you for anything you have done or said about your adoption. All I can do is admire you and Frank for taking on someone else's child and loving her as your own, giving her the opportunity to be the best that she can be. You guys seem to be great parents, keep up the good work!

Maddy, you ask who would bash these parents? Everyone. "Well, YOU wanted to adopt!" "You need to discipline better." "She is SO SWEET with me... what are YOU doing wrong?" "Oh, she can't possibly be doing those things... she's only 2 years old!" And on and on and on. People always blame the parents, especially if they don't see a child behaving the way a mom or dad describe.

Not that I'm speaking from experience of anything..... :)
